ÖBB (DRB) 2-10-0 No. 52.5795Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Apr 25, 2022 @ 10:04:34
The locomotive is indeed build Schichau (Elbing) 4092/1944 which was delivered to the DRB (successor to the DRG) near the end of WW2 as No. 52.5795. In 1945 it was handed over to the Austrian authorities who gave it to the emerging ÖBB in the same identity, ending it’s working days as a stationary boiler as No. 010.64 at Wien FJB depot until 1979. It later went to Straßhof and may now have been scrapped ?

DB (DRB, DR) 2-10-0 No. 52.8035 (52.5761)Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Apr 25, 2022 @ 09:04:30
The locomotive was delivered to the DRB (successor to the DRG) during WW2 as No. 52 5761. It was with the SBZ Military Administration 1945-1949 and with the newly created DR from the latter year who, 1958-1962 fitted it with a more powerful boiler and re-numbered it 52 8035, later No. 52 8035-9. It was withdrawn in 1991 and by the time DB had taken over responsibility, the locomotive was stored at Bw Basdorf on behalf of B Falz. It later moved to Altes Lager (Jüterbog) followed by Falkenberg/Elster.

The locomotive was delivered to the DRB (successor to DRG) as No. 52 5731 and sequestrated by the USSR in 1945 for work with the SŽD as their No. TE-5731. It was re-numbered as TE-5731 and last observed in the reserve at Zheleznonoroshny, Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia in 1993.

PKP (DRB) 2-10-0 No. Ty2-572 (52.5702)Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Apr 25, 2022 @ 09:04:07
However, another source gives the serial number of the DRB locomotive as Schichau 3993/1943, which fits the identity sequence of others known to exist or have been exported to the BDŽ. Whilst it may bear the build plate off 3989 (which appears to be no longer extant) No. 52 5702 was reported to be stored at Mamonowo in 1993 ?

SZD (DRB) 2-10-0 No. TE-5694 (52.5694)Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Apr 25, 2022 @ 09:04:52
This is Schichnau (Elbing) 3985/1943 which was delivered to the then DRB (as successor to DRG) as No. 52 5694. In 1945 it was sequestrated by the USSR for the SŽD who re-gauged it to 1524m. and gave it No. TE-5694. It has been displayed at the railway museum in St Petersburg since at least 1991.

This is yet another locomotive delivered to the DRB (successor to DRG) as No. 52 5690 which was sequestrated by the USSR in 1945 for the SŽD who gave it number TE-5690. In 1993 it was stored in the reserve at Zeheleznodorshnyj, Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia.

The locomotive was delivered to the original DRB (successor to the DRG) as No. 52 5689 and then sequestrated by the USSR in 1945 for the SŽD who gave it the identity TE-5689. It was noted in Brest, Belarus in 1996. The letters ‘CZD’ are believed superfluous to this file, presumably should read SŽD ?

SZD (DRB) 2-10-0 No. TE-0607 (52.607)Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Apr 25, 2022 @ 08:04:16
This locomotive was originally ordered from Borsig, Berlin and destined to become their No, 15704, then to be be delivered as DRB (as successor to DRG) No. 52-607. However, due to circumstances beyond their control (probably Allied bombing) Schichnau completed the order and gave it their own build number, hence the apparent ‘oddity’. In 1945 it was sequestrated by the USSR for the SŽD and given the number TE-607, and was last seen at Krasvovka Reserve, Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia, in 1993.

The locomotive was actually delivered to the original DRB (as successor to the DRG) and after a spell with the SBZ Military Administration in 1945, joined the fledgling DR. It was one of ten locomotives, initially hired in 1959, then purchased in 1961 by the BDŽ from DR. A total of 275 members of this class eventually ended up in Bulgaria; 85 as Soviet war booty; 20 each purchased from both DR and CSD in 1956; and the final 140, previously sequestrated (along with the CSD batch) from Germany in 1945, from the SŽD 1961-1964. BDŽ re-numbered it 15.131. It was observed personally at Asenovo reserve in 2004.

PKP (DRB) 2-10-0 No. Ty2-559 (52.5657)Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Apr 25, 2022 @ 02:04:00
Apparently this locomotive, from another source, is actually Schichnau No. 3935/1943 though it probably includes elements from several sources! The current build number of 3887 no longer exists, maybe just it’s plates ?

Another locomotive delivered to the DRB (as successor to the DRG) as No. 52 5610 that was sequestrated by the Soviets in 1945 for the SŽD as No. TE-5610. Whilst it may have worked in the Ukraine in USSR days, it would always have been a SŽD locomotive, only stored in reserves and not worked whilst in western Ukraine for the UŽ.

In 1994 it was stored in Lviv Oblast, May well have run in Ukraine but latterly had only a Soviet identity, not even as a later Class 1042 ?
