this locomotive is not scrapped. in 2009 Glen houlton found this locomotive and took some pictures. you can see them on a website called surviving steam locomotive search

The unique sole surviving single chimney fitted BR Standard 9F 2-10-0 No. 92134, will be visiting the Great Central Railway for their upcoming Winter Steam Gala from the 22nd to 25th of January 2026.

The PKP number is correctly given as Tr203-288 but other details are wrong. This is ALCO 70571 1943 ex USATC 2089 USATC 2253 Baldwin 64696 1943 became PKP Tr203-289 The two locos seem to have exchanged worksplates (and possibly boilers) in Poland

Having hauled its final trains at the Great Central Railway, the ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas", has now been withdrawn from service and is now relocating to Tyseley Locomotive Works at Tyseley in Birmingham for its next mainline overhaul which will take 18 months to complete and will the fitment of air-brakes to the locomotive for more mainline running.

The successful return to steam of former Great Eastern Railway, 1876 built Class 209 or LNER Y5 0-4-0ST No. 229, has been good as the locomotive was one of the big crowd pleasers during its visit to Hopetown, Darlington for their Titans of Steam Gala. No. 229 has returned back to the Flour Mill works for final work to be completed which will see vaccum brakes fitted and may possible have airbraking as well?? But it will be painted in Great Eastern Blue livery during the winter and it is planned to visit Mangapps Railway Museum in 2026 as a thank you as the head of Mangapps John Jolly had help with its restoration by donating buffers for it.

The overhaul on the ex NCB Kinneil Colliery Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST (Works No. 2157) No. 47 "Fambridge", has started to pick up at the Vale of Berkeley Railway as the locomotive has been moved undercover in a tent cover for work to really progress during the winter months ahead.

HK Porter 2542/March 1902. Was ordered by Puako Plantation who used it at the Dillingham Quarry in Oahu. It has been scrapped sometime after the 1940s.

Unfortunate news from JR Freight, who own and control the Hiroshima Works. In a recent press release, they have announced that D521, along with several preserved electric locomotives (pusher locomotive EF67-105, freight loco EF200-10, and the one-off multi-voltage prototype EF500-901), will be scrapped after a final photography event on November 1 and 2. They cite deterioration beyond repair as the reason for their decision.

Status should be Overhaul. Her boiler was seen a few days ago outside the Tokai Kikan shop in a fresh coat of red primer placed on dollies on the panel track in between where C11217 and C1238 are staged. With C108 scheduled to return to traffic in November and the boiler ticket running out for their "Thomas" C11190, the pressure to return C11227 to traffic is high.

The 1975 built working replica of "Locomotion No. 1", is visiting the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for the first time with its replica train of new Chaldron waggons and carriage "Experimant" for a series of public trips along the line between Pickering Station to the New Bridge Level Crossing from the 25th of October to the 9th of November 2025.

The overhaul on the ex Holborough Cement Co. Aveling Porter built 2-2-0GWT Railway Traction Engine, Works No. 9449 "The Blue Circle", has now been completed as the locomotive has passed both its hydraulic exam and steam test and is now operational again with a new 10 year ticket! "The Blue Circle" will have some remaining work to finnish off along with painting before returning to traffic at the Nene Valley Railway soon.
