The remains of this loco are used to display an interesting machine. The chassis is on the weigh bridge and demonstrates how it was used. Also the middle driving wheels are flangeless on this class, which can be seen. H8 was partly scrapped. The chassis went to the Don River railway for use as spares. In 2001 the remains moved to Launceston where they are now displayed.
