The ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas", is due to be withdrawn from service early in September 2025 for another overhaul which will take place like before at Tyseley Locomotive Works and it is planned for the locomotive to be fitted with air-brakes for the first time to haul more modern stock and more mainline railtour use. But until then No. 45596 "Bahamas" will be kept busy out on the mainline and heritage railway circuit during 2025.

The ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas", will be one of many locomotives taking part on display at the Greatest Gathering at Litchurch Lane works in Derby as part of the Railway 200 celebrations from the 1st to 3rd of August 2025. To mark 200 years of opening of the Stockton and Darlington Railway and 200 years of the modern railway we all know and use today.

The ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas", will be visiting the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for the very first time to operate a series of trains from the 5th to 13th of April 2025. This will be the first time an ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 has worked over the North Yorkshire Moors line since 1983, when sister ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45690 "Leander", visited the line for a short term loan back then.

The ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas", will be visiting the West Somerset Railway for the very first time for their upcoming Spring Steam Spectacular event from the 2nd to 5th of May 2025, as part of the Railway 200 celebrations in 2025. This will also be the very first time an LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 has worked along the former Minehead branch past Bishops Lydeard then too.

The ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas", celebrates her 90th birthday today as it was on Boxing Day, 1934, she rolled out of the North British Locomotive Company Queens Park works in Glasgow, Scotland for the London Midland & Scottish Railway. To recognise this event, and to correct an error made when the first ‘replica’ worksplates were made in 1968, the locomotive now carries new replica plates, with the correct date of build.

The ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas", is visiting the Nene Valley Railway from late November 2024 to work their North Pole Adventure trains over the Christmas season this December and into the New Year as well as working their Jolly Fisherman on the 4th of January 2025. They will also be Driver Experience trains with the locomotive on the 3rd and 4th January 2025 as well.

The ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas", will be spending a few weeks visiting Peak Rail in Derbyshire during July and August 2024, where the locomotive will be operating some service trains there as well as taking part in their 1940s Weekend on the 6th and 7th of July and their Steam Gala Weekend on the 10th and 11th of August 2024.

The ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas" has been temporaily re-numbered and re-named as a long lost scrapped sister LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45606 "Falkland Islands" as part the 40th anniversary to mark the South Atlantic conflict with Argentina and as a mark of respect to the fallen from all sides in the Falklands War of 1982. The orginal No. 45606 "Falkland Islands" was built in 1935 and was withdrawn from service by British Railways in June 1964 and scrapped in February 1965. No. No. 45596 "Bahamas" in her No. 45606 "Falkland Islands" guise will be working a special Railway Touring Company Kentish Belle Railtour on the 11th of November 2022, as part of Armistice Day from London, Victoria to the Kent coast and back.

LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas" will visit the Nene Valley Railway in August 2021 where the locomotive will be available for use on driver experience courses, fish and chip trains and will also take part in their Jubilee 1950s Bank Holiday Weekend event from the 28th to 30th August then.

In 2021 the ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas" will heading down to London for the first time in preservation as its owners the Bahamas Locomotive Society have teamed up with Steam Dreams to operate a number of railtours with them in 2021.

The ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas" is to head South of the UK for the first time since 1967 for her first visit to the Mid-Hants Railway for their Autumn Steam Gala weekend from the 16th to 18th of October 2020. Which this will be her first visit away from her base at Keighley and Worth Valley Railway to another preserved railway since 1997.

No. 45596 "Bahamas" will be returning to Tyseley Locomotive Works for their open weekend on the 22nd and 23rd of June 2019 and will remain there for some mainline railtours with their Vintage Trains operations over the summer.

After some setbacks and problems ironed out LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas" passed its loaded mainline test run yesterday with flying colours. No. 45596 is to return home to the Bahamas Locomotive Society base at Ingrow on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway ready its season out on the mainline and heritage railway circuit onwards.

No. 45596 "Bahamas" is set to return to the mainline for the first time in 25 years. With a light engine and support coach test run from Tyseley to Stratford and back on the 15th of January 2019 followed by a loaded test run on the Leicester circuit on the 17th. Then No. 45596 will return home to its Bahamas Locomotive Society base at Ingrow on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway on the 22nd.

No. 45596 return home to its base to Ingrow and its mainline test runs have been delayed. Due the work installing and commissioning of its TPWS/OTMR equipment being carried out at Tyseley and the paperwork needed to allow the locomotive on Network Rail. But it is still hoped that No. 45596 "Bahamas" will be ready in time for its first mainline run on the 9th of February 2019 and to take part in the Spring Steam Gala on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway in March.

No. 45596 "Bahamas" will be undertaking its first mainline test run since completion of its overhaul on November the 27th 2018 from Tyseley to Stratford and back. If all goes well the locomotive will return home to the Bahamas Locomotive Society base at Ingrow on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway before Christmas. No. 45596 first mainline railtour will be on Saturday 9th February 2019 from Oxenhope over the Settle and Carlisle Railway to Carlisle and back.

No. 45596 "Bahamas" was steamed and moved for the very first time since 1997 today. Now back in service No. 45596 will be making its first public debut at Tyseley Locomotive Works open weekend on the 29th and 30th of September 2018.

No. 45596 "Bahamas" is set to make its first public steaming for the first time following completion of its overhaul at Tyseley Locomotive Works 50th anniversary extravaganza open weekend on the 29th and 30th of September 2018. After this event No. 45596 will return home to its base at Ingrow on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway where it will then take to the mainline again and go on visits to other heritage railways around the UK.

The boiler of LMS Jubilee No. 45596 "Bahamas" successfully passed its steam tests on the 21st of December. The race is now on to have the locomotive completed and set for the mainline and heritage railways in 2018.

Currently on display at the National Railway Museum, York. The only member of the class to have been fitted with a double chimney, and one of the last developments of steam locomotives in the UK.

Subject of an appeal for funds to restore the loco, with its double chimney, to working order.
