The former Caledonian Railway 812 Class Standard 0-6-0 Goods No. 828, will celebrate its 125th birthday this year with a special event to mark it at the Spa Valley Railway on the 31st of 31st of August 2024. No. 828 was built in 1899 by the Caledonian Railway Company at their St. Rollox engineering workshops in the Springburn district of Glasgow, Scotland. She is one of 20 memebers of her class which were built at St. Rollox between May and November 1899. No. 828 herself was delivered from the works at the end of August 1899, and is the sole surviver still running in preservation today.

The overhaul of BR Standard 4MT 2-6-4T No. 80098, has now stepped up as the boiler has been sent to Heritage Boiler Steam Services Ltd. near liverpool to be overhauled while work on the locomotive continues in the Princess Royal Locomotive Trust base at their West Shed at the Midland Railway - Butterley.

The worlds most famous locomotive ex LNER A3 Class Pacific No. 60103 (No. 4472) "Flying Scotsman", is moving up to Locomotion Museum at Shildon in Durham for a four week visit during the summer season from the 20th of July until the 18th of August 2024. During that time "Flying Scotsman" will be used on steam runs giving brake van rides there along with tours of the support coach and is also set for static display days where the public can climb aboard its cab.

The locomotive has been awaiting restoration since 1979. The reason It has not been restored is due to funding. Lima northern #7 was very expensive to restore. If you can please set this locomotive to awaiting restoration instead of stored.

With the success of the loaned visit of former Chattenden & Upnor Railway Manning Wardle built 0-6-2T No. 1 (Works No. 1877) "Chevallier", from the UK to the newly revived Sibiu Agnita Railway in Transylvania, Romania and a good relationship with the Flour Mill Works at Bream in Gloucestershire in the UK. The newly formed the UK Friends of the Sibiu Agnita Railway (SARUK) have purchased former CFR 0-8-0T No. 764.158 (formerly No. 764.344) for use on the Sibiu Agnita Railway. No. 764.158 is being shipped to the UK for a full overhaul at the Flour Mill Works at Bream in Gloucestershire.

The ex LNER A2 Pacific No. 60532 "Blue Peter", is to be welcomed back onto the mainline and heritage railway circuit, with a special event laid on by her owners the Royal Scot Locomotive and General Trust and Locomotive Services Ltd, to be held at London’s Kings Cross Station on the 13th of July 2024. No. 60532 in her new BR Blue livery will be on display at Kings Cross Station for an hour and ten miniutes from 13:00 before departing for York along the famous East Coast mainline with a special demonstration train at 14:10.

This locomotive is no longer at the Milwaukee Zoo, it was moved to its birth place and is now owned by the Riverside & Great Northern Railroad there. It was moved there about a year ago.

When its hire to the Colne Valley Railway is finnished at the end of their main running season, ex Stewarts & Lloyds Andrew Barclay built 0-6-0ST No. 2138 "Swordfish", will then relocated to the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway for the winter from November 2024, during which the locomotive will be used on their Santa Specials over the Christmas season then. The locomotive is due to be withdrawn from service in February for overhaul, during which the boiler will be retubed and worked on and some modifications will be carried out to help with operating it much better.

Following its return to traffic and the success of the Swanage Railway’s Strictly Bulleid 2 Gala, ex Southern Railway rebuilt Bulleid Battle of Britain Class Light Pacific No. 34053 "Sir Keith Park", is now relocating back home to the Spa Valley Railway at Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent in time for their Summer Steam Gala on the 13th and 14th of July 2024, and will also be working trains there during the summer season there too.
