Supplied new to Harrogate gas works. Their railway carried coal to the gas making plant returning with by-products from the plant. The loco had a special curved cab for running through a tight tunnel on the line. The gas works railway closed 1956 and the loco was sold to the Ffestiniog Railway. Later was sold to the Bredgar & Wormshill Railway. While there it was restored and a normal cab fitted. Was sold to the Statfold railway, where it now operates.
