Having had a good festive season at the Spa Valley Railway, BR Standard 4MT 2-6-4T No. 80078, has returned to her owners base at Sonic Rail Services in Burnham-on-Crouch in Essex, for her winter maintenance to be carried out in readiness for another season at the Mid Norfolk Railway and out on the heritage railway circuit in 2025.

MÁV 2-6-2T No. 376.531 (376.461)

There are two 376.531s. The former 376.461, now 376.531, is at Ács. The report of 4th December 2023 is wrong and the location of this locomotive should not have been changed in the database!

In 2006 the Hawaiian Railway Society (HRS) received a grant to restore WACO 6 (new boiler). Around $140K was given to a Hawaii engineering/repair company to restore WACO 6, but nearly 20 years later the engine still has the original (condemned) boiler and the HRS never got their money back.

Engine is under a protective roof with a boxcar and caboose. Freshly painted green.

Engine is under protective covering in Lilliard park with a SP Bay Window Caboose and SP Streamlined Passenger Car.

Chicago & North Western RR 2-6-0 No. 279

Engine is located near the public pool, under a protective roof with a fresh coat of paint.

Location should be Rotary Snow Plow Park or High Line Railroad Park. They are the same park, under different names.

Loco is in Shay Park under a protective roof. It appears to be taken care of with a fresh coat of paint.

British Railways 4-6-2 No. 70000 'Britannia'

BR Standard 7MT Pacific No. 70000 "Britannia", will be visiting the Nene Valley Railway from the 11th to 18th of March 2025, as part of their Railway 200 celebrations. Where the locomotive will be hauling trains during their Best of British events then, along with a photo charter, along with their popular Driving Experience Courses, and a full weekend of passenger services and their evening Jolly Fisherman Fish and Chips dining train “The Britannia”.

SAR 2-8-2 No. 120 'Beddgelert'

The ex South African Railways NG15 Class 2-8-2 No. 120, has relocated to a private workshop at Sheffield in Yorkshire, where it is now under restoration. No. 120 is now owned by the Darnall Locomotive and Railway Heritage Trust who also own former Indian Hill Railway (Matheran Light Railway) Orenstein & Koppel built 0-6-0T No. 740.

The BR built LMS Ivatt Class 2MT 2-6-2T No. 41313, is to make another visit to mainland UK, to visit the Bluebell Railway for the very first time for their upcoming Branch Line Gala, from the 14th to 16th of March 2025.
