With its hired visit to the Bodmin & Wenford Railway over ex GWR 5700 Class 0-6-0PT No. 5786 (London Transport L92) has returned home to the South Devon Railway where she will operate for a few more months before being withdrawn from service for her 10 year overhaul.

Due to the unfortunate damage suffered to 4500 class 4555 at the South Devon Railway on 3rd May, L92/5786 will be staying on at the East Somerset Railway until 4555 is repaired.

Former GWR 5700 Class 0-6-0PT No. 5786 (London Transport L92) will be going on loan to the Epping Ongar Railway in Essex from September 2021 until early January 2022. During its stay at the Epping Ongar the locomotive will be a key part at their London Transport Weekend from the 8th to 10th of October 2021.

The Great Western Railway built 873 of Collett’s 57xx Pannier tanks for shunting, light freight and passenger duties. No. 5786 was built at Swindon in 1930. In 1947 she was stationed at Aberbeeg, Wales. In 1958 she was sold to London Transport by British Railways. Based at Neasdon Depot, London she acquired the new number L92. On retirement in 1969 she passed to the care of the Worcester Locomotive Society. After a stay at Hereford she moved to the South Devon Railway where she is fully operational. 18th July 2007
