Engine is located near the public pool, under a protective roof with a fresh coat of paint.

This Locomotive did indeed used to work the Narrow Gauge Chicago & North Western line between Fennimore and Woodman, WI.  It was affectionately known as the "Dinky" by locals, in reference to it (and the line's) size.  The locomotive currently "standing in" for the "Dinky" in Fennimore today is the Godchaux Sugar #6, which is similar in size and appearance.

When I visited the site on 6-17-94 there was a plaque that stated "...Last operated on the Fennimore-Woodman Narrow gauge Line Ry the Chicago-Northwestern RR on January 30,1926. Sold to the Pioche Pacific RR February 1927. Operated on the line from Jackrabbit Mine to Pioche  until 1939. Placed on display in Pioche in 1957."

The sign was weathered. I took the above from a photograph.

Last week I was in Pioche, and the loco is still there, right next to the new court house. It was never sold. It was obviously removed a few years ago, but just to be repainted.

Your Ownership tab indicates that the locomotive was sold to Fennimore, WI. The locomotive on display in Fennimore is not this locomotive. Fennimore's locomotive is a stand-in. I believe this locomotive remains in Pioche, NV. So, was the locomotive actually sold to Fennimore and just never shipped? Or was an assumption made that the locomotive in Fennimore is this one?
