Px48-1748 This locomotive took to the rails at Kazimierza Wlk.and visited several locations during its career spanning three decades, i.e. Bogoria in 1970; Opalenica in 1981 where it was later placed as an Open Air exhibit in 1986. It was transferred, in 1996, to the Narrow Gauge Museum at ul. Towarowa 7, 96-500 Sochaczew, Masovia

We know that this locomotive was at Wrzesnia in 1966 but its whereabouts during the previous 15 years is somewhat a mystery. It reached Krosniewice in both 1968 and 1990; later Sochaczew in 1995. It is now on display at the Narrow Gauge Museum at ul. Towarowa 7, 96-500 Sochaczew, Masovia

Px48-1755 started work at Krosniewice in the Spring of 1952; Rogów in 1963; both Sochaczew, and Mlawa in 1974. It was again at Sochaczew at the end of 1985 but was not withdrawn until 2003. It was not until the summer of 2013 that it was positioned in the Narrow Gauge Museum at ul. Towarowa 7, 96-500 Sochaczew, Masovia

Ty2-1055 (52.4995) had a few months with the DRB before joining PKP at Szczakowa. All of its time was spent in Southern Poland including a spell at Kraków Plaszów before reaching Malaszewicze in 1977, from where it was withdrawn a decade later. In 1990 it went on display off Kolejarzy Street in the town and is now at the PKP Cargo depot, Parkova 1, 21-540 Malaszewicze, Lublin

After some boiler work and testing carried out at the Severn Valley Railway. Ex War Department Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 71516 "Welsh Guardsman" is visiting the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway for the Christmas season and early part of 2021.

ILFORD reports that the locos real number is L-0498 built by Kolomna works number 8901 of 1949, and carries the identity Kolomna 9701 of 1952.

BR Standard 4MT 2-6-4T No. 80080 is located back at the Midland Railway Centre at Butterley in Derbyshire as its loan to the East Lancashire Railway has ended. But its owners the Princess Royal Locomotive Trust are in talks with other preserved railways about loaning 80080 to them from 2021.

The former Chattenden & Upnor Railway Manning Wardle built 0-6-2T No. 1 "Chevallier" is currently located at the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway at Llanfair Caereinion in Powys, Wales. Where the locomotive is in storage out of use at the shed at Llanfair awaiting overhaul.

No. 5 was produced for Cukrownia Tuczno with a 900mm gauge and was not converted to 750mm until 1942. It worked until 1981 and was transferred in 1985 to the Narrow Gauge Museum (where it is now regarded as a wreck), ul. Towarowa 7, 96-500 Sochaczew, Masovia

No. 4 was supplied via Lewantowski, Zbaszyn to the Cukrownia and worked until 1985 when it went on display at the Narrow Gauge Museum, ul. Towarowa 7, 96-500 Sochaczew, Masovia, Poland

No. 1726 was produced, and spent its working life at Cukrownia Zbiersk as their No. 3. Please note: No. 1726 is actually the Torun Boiler Factory number. It went, in 1993, to the Narrow Gauge Museum, ul. Towarowa 7, 96-500 Sochaczew, Masovia

This was first delivered to the construction company, August Jagow Bauunternehmung, before it went to Chocen Sugar Plant. It is now known as Cukrownia Brzesc Kujawski: 9 where it went in 1931, manufactured by Orenstein & Koppel as their No. 1372 in 1905. It was withdrawn from service in 1966 and taken to the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum in Sochaczew some two decades later. In 2015 it was moved to an unknown private property on the other side of the country.

Px48-1765 was delivered to Krosniewice in 1953 where it spent a decade before going to Trzebnica, Zbiersk and, in both 1978 and 1982, Opalenica then Wielun. It could be found at Gniezno in 1988 from where it was transported to Smigiel, renovated and put on display and is now outside the narrow gauge station (Smigielska Kolej Dojazdowa) adjacent to Lezscyznska, 64-030 Smigiel, Greater Poland

Px49-1798 first went to Krosniewice and, shortly afterwards to Przeworsk where it spent most of its days, returning to Krosniewice in 1988 and from where it reached a private museum in Gostyn. At the end of 2018 it went on display in the Automotive Museum, Topacz Castle, Glówna 12, 55-040 Sleza, Lower Silesia

Ty2-1407 (52.3388) is a re-build (in 1964) of several parts of differing locomotives, one of which is the Krauss-Maffei example of 1943. It served firstly at Bialystok, and Tomaszów Mazowiecki at the end of 1978, then Elk in 1988, from where it was withdrawn in 1990. In 2006 it was moved from there to the Polish Association of Railway Enthusiasts, where it is on display at ul. Lowicka 1, 96-100 Skierniewice, Lódz

TKi3-137 (91-719) was produced by Union-Gießerei, L & S, Königsberg (now part of Russia) for the KPEV and first delivered to Danzig (now Gdansk) as their No. 7383. From 1925 it became PKP-A - TKi3-228 and, after 1941 DRB No. 91 719. It was designated for the PKP in 1945, presumably in its current identity, but in 1950 was to be found at Cukrownia (Sugar Plant) Przeworsk from where if was officially withdrawn but in 1972 it was at Cukrownia Rejowiec. It was not until 1992 that it found a new home at the Polish Association of Railway Enthusiasts, where it is on display at ul. Lowicka 1, 96-100 Skierniewice, Lódz

OKi27-10 (75.1225) was originally delivered as No. PKP-A: OKl27-25 and was acquired by the DRB into their Ostbahn fleet at Rbd Lodz in 1940, re-numbered as No. 75 1225 the following year. In 1943 it was moved to Przeworsk and then, at the end of WWII was to be found in the Katowice Division and, in 1946, at Tarnowskie Góry. It was at Racibórz in 1963 and at the end of 1974, at Gliwice. It reached Skierniewice in 1976 and was withdrawn from service here in 1979. However, it was not until 1987 that it was recognised for preservation and kept for what became the Railway Museum and Roundhouse, operated by the Polish Association of Railway Enthusiasts, where it is on display at ul. Lowicka 1, 96-100 Skierniewice, Lódz

TKh-2949 was originally delivered as No. LK 39393 to ZGH Sabinów (Pawel Iron Ore Mine in Konopiska where it was in the 1970s and was also numbered TKh 13393 before assuming its current identity (build number). Ok1-266 (38.3587) is one of the surviving Prussian Class P8, originally supplied to the KPEV Elberfeld 3034 in Germany. It became DRB (in 1925) No. 38 3587 and was only incorporated into the PKP fleet after 1945, firstly at Malbork, then Tczew. It frequently worked from Olsztyn and found its way to Ostroleka in late 1969 where, in 1978, it was withdrawn and, after a long stay here, was eventually, displayed in 1987. However, it was moved to Elk in 1996 and was not, until the Autumn of 2014, moved to the Polish Association of Railway Enthusiasts, where it is plinthed at ul. Lowicka 1, 96-100 Skierniewice, Lódz

Ol49-4 arrived on the PKP at Kutno during the Autumn of 1952 and it was three years before moving to Lódz Kaliska. In early 1966 it went to Bialystok and, in 1978, to Ostroleka. Interestingly, in late 1981 and 1985 respectively, it spent time in the far north of Poland, at opposite ends of the country, i.e. in Suwalki and Elk, from where it was eventually withdrawn in 1992, and displayed outside the Wask Station. It was not until 2006 that it was moved to another end of the country, this time the Polish Association of Railway Enthusiasts, where it is plinthed at ul. TKp-102 was delivered to T.E.P. (Towarzystwo Eksploatacji Piasku) Sandgewinnungs AG later, in 1945, PMPPW Maczki Bór, then KWK Kazimierz Juliusz, Sosnowiec. Ty23-273 (58.2505) was built as PKP-A No. Ty23-298, originally of gauge 1485mm. It came under DRB auspices in 1941 and, presumably, converted to Soviet Union broad gauge after WWII. It was back at the PKP in Gliwice from 1965 and, from 1972 was in the in the Polish far-east at Zurawica until being withdrawn in 1980. In 1990 it was taken to the open-air museum at Zdunska Wola Karsznice and from here, in 2012, to the Polish Association of Railway Enthusiasts, where it is plinthed at ul. Pd5-17 (13.1247) is a Prussian S6 type locomotive which was originally one of seventy delivered to KPEV Hamburg Altona, No. 656 and, from 1920 became DRB No. 13 1247 whence, in 1928, it was withdrawn from capital stock and designated for training purposes, being cross-sectioned (boiler, cylinder and tender) in RAW Brandenburg. It was found in occupied Lódz during 1945 and, by 1954, had found its way to the Railway Technical School in Warsaw at ul. Szczesliwicka, where he stood until 2010 and was taken to Skierniewice. However, ILFORD, reports that its original identity was Pd5-32 (DRG 13.544) Linke-Hoffmann 862/1912 though, whilst not questioning his knowledge, I can find no evidence of this. It is now under repair inside the roundhouse at the Railway Museum and Roundhouse, operated by the Polish Association of Railway Enthusiasts, where it is plinthed at ul. Ty51-1 was delivered to Zdunska Wola Karsznice but was soon returned to the factory for troubleshooting, defect removal and testing the prototype, being returned in the summer of 1955. It went to Piotrków Trybunalski two years later, thereupon it spent the rest of its days in Eastern Poland at Deblin, Chelm and Lublin. It was withdrawn from service at Deblin and placed in the "reserve" at Zarzeka before, in 1994 being taken to the the open-air museum in Karsznice. Finally, in 2008, it was taken from here to the Railway Museum and Roundhouse, operated by the Polish Association of Railway Enthusiasts, where it is plinthed at ul. Lowicka 1, 96-100 Skierniewice, Lódz

ZPC Lyszkowice 0-4-0WT No. 1541 "Lynx" was delivered as Cukrownia Lesmierz 4 In May 1994 (No. 1541 often displayed is actually the Fabryka, Chrzanów build number). It was taken to Piaseczno for renovation and by October that year had been displayed at the Railway Museum in Warsaw. In 2016 it was taken to the Railway Museum and Roundhouse, operated by the Polish Association of Railway Enthusiasts, where it is plinthed at ul. Lowicka 1, 96-100 Skierniewice, Lódz

Zuckerfabrik Lesmierz (Heeresfeldbahn) 0-8-0T No. 3 (HF 2239) was first delivered to Deutsche Feldbahn and little, or nothing, is known of its activities between the world wars but, in 1945, it was taken on by Cukrownia Lesmierz (Sugar Factory) as their No. 3. After service here, in 1994 in was moved to Elk and set on display at the Wask station (where photographed in the file). In 2001 it was taken to the Railway Museum and Roundhouse, operated by the Polish Association of Railway Enthusiasts, where it is on display at ul. Lowicka 1, 96-100 Skierniewice, Lódz
