Ol49-4 arrived on the PKP at Kutno during the Autumn of 1952 and it was three years before moving to Lódz Kaliska. In early 1966 it went to Bialystok and, in 1978, to Ostroleka. Interestingly, in late 1981 and 1985 respectively, it spent time in the far north of Poland, at opposite ends of the country, i.e. in Suwalki and Elk, from where it was eventually withdrawn in 1992, and displayed outside the Wask Station. It was not until 2006 that it was moved to another end of the country, this time the Polish Association of Railway Enthusiasts, where it is plinthed at ul. Lowicka 1, 96-100 Skierniewice, Lódz, Poland
