Delivered to the DRB by the MBA successor to O&K from their Potsdam-Babelberg/Drewitz plant as No. 52 4995 it was first given to the CSD in 1945, followed by the PKP in 1946, then in its original identity and later renumbered as Ty2-1055.

Ty2-1055 (52.4995) had a few months with the DRB before joining PKP at Szczakowa. All of its time was spent in Southern Poland including a spell at Kraków Plaszów before reaching Malaszewicze in 1977, from where it was withdrawn a decade later. In 1990 it went on display off Kolejarzy Street in the town and is now at the PKP Cargo depot, Parkova 1, 21-540 Malaszewicze, Lublin
