The ex Southern Railway rebuilt Bulleid Merchant Navy Class Pacific No. 35006 "Peninsular & Oriental S. N. Co.", is visiting the Severn Valley Railway for the very first time for their Autumn Steam Gala from the 18th to 21st of September 2025. This will also be the first time a Bulleid Merchant Navy Class Pacific has visited the Severn Valley line in preservation.

Following its successful part in their Southern Summer Steam Gala, the ex Southern Railway rebuilt Bulleid Battle of Britain Class Light Pacific No. 34053 "Sir Keith Park" ("303 Squadron"), still running as its long lost scrapped class mate No. 34050 "Royal Observer Corps", will remain on at the Mid Norfolk Railway during the weeks in July and will take part in their 1940s weekend on the 2nd & Sun 3rd of August 2025.

BR Standard 4MT 2-6-0 No. 76079, also known at the "Pocket Rocket" is currently in storage undercover in the carriage sheds at Pickering, awaiting its future as the locomotive is up for sale.

Now fully painted into the livery of its last years of service at Mountain Ash, the ex NCB Mountain Ash (War Department) Vulcan Foundry built Austerity 0-6-0ST (Works No. 5272) No. 75282 "Haulwen", will be back in service hauling trains at the Gwili Railway from Wednesday the 2nd of July 2025.

The ex LNER J94 Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 68077, is currently in storage at the Spa Valley Railway for the time being while it awaits full complition of its overhaul once current projects are completed and work can resume on it.

The overhaul of ex GWR 42XX Class 0-4-2T No. 1466, is now completed and the locomotive is operational again as it was steamed for the first time in 23 years and has made a light engine moves whilst confined to yard limits at Williton on the West Somerset Railway only. Like all locos fresh from overhaul, there is a small snagging list which quite is to be expected in locomotive ex works from overhaul and will be sorted accordingly. If things go well No. 1466 will be returning home to Didcot Railway Centre at the end of the week.

Following a boiler re-tube carried out at the nearby Locomotive Maintenance Services, the Hudswell Clark built J94 Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 68067 (ex NCB Bold Colliery (War Department No. 75091) No. 7 "Robert"), has returned home to the Great Central Railway and has a few more jobs outstanding before it can re-enter traffic again which should be soon.

Based on this thread I believe this engine was used at the Pioneer City Amusement Park in Davie Florida from 1966 to 1968.

Originally number 1, but during a heavy overhaul in March 1955 number 1 swapped number plates with number 3. This is also why the first note on this listing refers to number 3 carrying number 1s plates and frames.

This engine is located on the place, across the street from Malatya station main building. It is under some trees and in the shadow of a building. Therefore, it is not very visible on satellite pictures.

This engine is listed twice in the database, as 34056 and as 34057, for the same location. 34056 is the one on display, 34057 was scrapped.

The exact bridge name is Bandirmahi 2 Köprüsü, Muradiye, Van Note that Muradiye was the terminal point of a WW1 war railway built by the Russian army. Whether this loco is placed in former railway alignment is to be determined.

Now near the end of its overhaul, the ex Ashington Colliery, Peckett built 0-6-0ST Works No. 1970 "Ashington No. 5", will be visiting its first home in preservation at the North Norfolk Railway for the summer. "Ashington No. 5" was one of the first steam locomotives to operate on the North Norfolk Railway in its early preservation years and had hauled the first members steam trains at their in August 1969. She then made regular appearances out on the line when the railway opened for public running in 1975 and making her return to them this summer is very special indeed. During her visit "Ashington No. 5" will take part in their Festival on Rails from the 23rd to 28th August and their 50th Anniversary Steam Gala from the 29th to 31st of August 2025.

The ex LMS Black Five 4-6-0 No. 44932, will be joining West Coast Railways other locomotives taking part in the Greatest Gathering at Litchurch Lane works in Derby as part of the Railway 200 celebrations from the 1st to 3rd of August 2025. To mark 200 years of opening of the Stockton and Darlington Railway and 200 years of the modern railway we all know and use today.

Current plans call for restoration following Buffalo Creek and Gauley No.4, using the boiler of the Graham County 1926. Most, if not all, of the parts she is missing outside are stored safely inside.

To add clarity here, the Yubari Railway Class 11, of which 14 is a member, were a class of 3 2-8-0 consolidations ordered new from Hitachi in 1926, with 1 more ordered in 1927 (this 1927 order being No14 pictured here). You can essentially consider this locomotive to be a JNR Class 9600 2-8-0 chassis with the JNR Class 8620 2-6-0 boiler.

To follow up on the post below. It has been announced that 2412 will return to Nagoya City Science Museum in Q4 2025, and that she will be an air-operated moving display with her drivers rotating while the locomotive itself remains stationary.

No.11 is currently off-site from Chasewater ungoing a major overhaul to return the loco to steam. It has been suggested No.11 will return sometime in 2025, however it has not yet been confirmed.

The former Hulleras de Sabero, Henschel & Sohn (Kassel) built 0-4-2T (Works No. 16073) No. 101, has now relocated to its new home at the Vale of Rheidol Railway at Aberystwyth, Ceredigion in Wales, where it is now on public display in their new museum in the former Great Western Railway locomotive shed at Aberystwyth.

The ex Iron Co. Andrew Barclay built 0-6-0T (Works No. 1245) No. 14, has now relocated to the Great Central Railway (Nottingham) at Ruddington in Nottinghamshire as their main steam locomotive for the remainder of the year. It will be hauling its first trains during their joint Railway 200 Open Weekend on the 5th and 6th of July 2025.

To mark 200 years of opening of the Stockton and Darlington Railway and 200 years of the modern railway we all know and use today. No. 60163 will only be at Derby for the event on the 1st and 2nd of August only as the following Sunday the locomotive will be out working a railtour over the Settle and Carlisle Railway.

The info I have on is it was built 1/2”scale of a sp locomotive I believe I looked this up a year or two ago for a fb group asking for more information the is of a gs-2 class at least that’s what I read .
