Camden & Atlantic RR 2-4-4T No. 'JOHN LUCAS'Posted by: Steve Frost, European Editor on Jun 3, 2026 @ 15:06:59
I am not sure about the gauge information for this loco. The railway was supposedly built to Standard Gauge, so I do not know where the 60" came from and how it would end up at a metre without extensive reconstruction is difficult to imagine. I understand that railways of Suriname were metre gauge, but even so I will leave it unchanged until a more detailed response is available.

La Cia de Gas de Santiago 0-4-0ST No. 'GUILLERMO EDWARDS'Posted by: Steve Frost, European Editor on Jun 3, 2026 @ 14:06:23
The former Santiago gasworks is now reimagined as a tourist park. Can you imagine that? In the UK they just clear the site, remove contaminated soil and redevelop it. Clearly, there is more imagination in Latin America.

Kerang & Koondrook Tramway 4wVBT No. NonePosted by: Steve Frost, European Editor on Jun 1, 2026 @ 18:06:18
Wikipedia includes this in a page on the Kerang & Koondrook Tramway. "In 1929, a four-wheel vertical boilered locomotive was imported to work the tramway, manufactured by the Sentinel Waggon Works in Shrewsbury. It was withdrawn in 1941 and scrapped in 1952."

Presumably this is, as I suspected, an attempt to represent a locomotive that once ran there. I have to admit that, from a suitable distance, it does look like a Sentinel. But a Sentinel it is not.

Great Western Railway 2-6-2T No. 5539Posted by: Russell Newman on Jun 1, 2026 @ 16:06:00
The restoration of ex GWR 4500 Class Small Prairie 2-6-2T No. 5539, is indeed located at the Barry Tourist Railway in the shed at Plymouth Road in Barry Island, Glamorgan in South Wales, where No. 5539 is located. And its restoration is now in the final stages of completion and the locomotive is set to steam for the first time in preservation later this year. When completed its planned for the locomotive to be based at the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway (Blaenavon’s Heritage Railway) and be made available for hire to other preserved railways around the UK.
