Originally Chilean State Railways (FCEC); In retirement it was displayed in Plaza Joshias Waddington, Valparaiso, Valparaiso Province, Chile until January 2006, when it then went for scrapping.

this locomotive was removed from the plaza about a year ago, in january of 2006. very sad... apparently it had been repeatedly vandalized, was covered in grafitti, used as a public bathroom and garbage dump, and the city deemed it... dirty? i still don't know why exactly it was seen as a problem. here is an article on the matter: http://www.culturalplayancha.org/prensa/estrella2.htm cheers -mz
