It has been announced that the pioneer Beyer-Garratt, 0-4-0+0-4-0 K1 is to be relocated to the Statfold Barn Railway at Tamworth in Staffordshire from the end of November 2019. The locomotive will receive a cosmetic overhaul and be put on display their. K1 will remain at Statfold for the time being but will return to the Welsh Highland Railway for a full overhaul back into service again when a suitable slot for overhaul opens up.

The former United States Army Transportation Corps S160 2-8-0 No. 2253 "OMAHA" will stay a little longer at the Churnet Valley Railway for their Super Power Weekend Take 2 on the 1st and 2nd of February 2020. As the first Super Power that would have seen three S160 2-8-0s working together since 1944 was cancelled due flood damage to the Churnet Valley line. No. 2253 will work alongside Churnet Valley based sister S160s No. 5197 and 6046 which will be something special. After this No. 2253 move to the Dartmouth Steam Railway to start its 10 year loan to them.

This locomotive is plinthed at Constanta railway station. It was built by O&K in 1911 Works No. 4709. Type Bft-n2. It was used in the refinery at Ploisti north of Bucherest

The basic frame of this replica of the original Sharp Stewart 2-4-0T has been completed in Darlington. The boiler for the loco was completed earlier in 2019 and a fabricated cylinder has also been made. The loco is being built for the Southwold Railway Trust

LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45699 "Galatea" has been repainted in to British Railways Brunswick Green livery and has been re numbered in to the guise of long loss Class mate No. 45562 "Alberta" which was one of the very last LMS Jubilee Class in service in 1967. No. 45699 as No. 45562 "Alberta" made its debut today double heading with Rebuilt LMS Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 No. 46115 "Scots Guardsman" on West Coast Railways Mainline Santa Special to Carlisle.

With the overhaul now over and running well ex War Department Light Railways 1917 Baldwin built 4-6-0T No. 608 will now be based at the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways for the foreseeable future where No. 608 will be operated along the Welsh Highland Railway in the years to come.

Its been reported in Steam Railway Magazine that the unique Wigan Coal & Iron Co. built 0-6-0ST "Lindsay" has been moved to a private site somewhere South of the UK for its restoration but where is unknown?

LMS Black Five No. 45305 "Alderman A E Draper" has gone up to Tyseley Locomotive Works this winter where it has taken to the mainline again work Vintage Trains Polar Express this Christmas season between Birmingham Snow Hill and Tyseley.

Some wonderful news has come for the ex BR built LMS Ivatt Class 2MT 2-6-0 No. 46464 as its owners the Carmyllie Pilot Company and the Strathspey Railway Company have agreed a deal that will see the locomotive relocate to the Strathspey Railway at Aviemore in Inverness-Shire it will now be based for the foreseeable future and will see the completion of its long-term overhaul. On completion of the overhaul the locomotive will operate at the Strathspey Railway as part of their running fleet but will also be made available for visits to other preserved railways around the UK.

The boiler of West Country Class Pacific No. 34028 "Eddystone" was refitted to the main frames of the locomotive today. Which this marks the last striate of 34028’s overhaul as the Bulleid light pacific is due to enter service again in 2020.

The world famous LMS 4-6-0 No. 46100 "Royal Scot" has been booked to visit the Nene Valley Railway to take part in the VE Celebrations there from the 7th to 10th of May 2020. The locomotive will also be available for Driving Experience Courses for members of the public there on 7th May.

It has been announced that No. 7029 will be working a special Vintage Trains railtour over the Settle and Carlisle Railway From Birmingham to Carlisle and back on the 18th of April 2020. Which this will be the first time since 1967 that 7029 has worked over the Settle and Carlisle having hauled a Locomotive Club of Great Britain Railtour that year.

The ex LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47406 has now been withdrawn from service for its 10 year overhaul having worked its last trains during the Last Hurrah Gala at the Great Central Railway last weekend.

It turns out that ex United States Army Transportation Corps S160 2-8-0 No. 5197 has gone to the Telford Steam Railway again for the Polar Express this Christmas season and not 6046 as thought sorry. No. 5197 has been fitted with a cowcatcher, bell and its original American style headlight from when it worked in China as KD6.463 to look the part for the Polar Express as it does every Christmas at Telford.

The ex GWR Modified Hall Class 4-6-0 No. 6984 "Owsden Hall" is leaving the Swindon & Cricklade Railway at end of November as her owner is relocating the locomotive to the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre at Quainton Road in Buckinghamshire. Where its restoration will continue on there.
