Plans are afoot for the ex Metropolitan Railway 0-4-4T Met No. 1, to be overhauled soon as part of a new revival project being launched by the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, that will see training of new engineers in steam locomotive restoration and overhaul work in house there. An appeal for Met No. 1 will be launched soon.

With its cosmetic restoration completed, the ex Metropolitan Railway 0-4-4T Met No. 1, has now been placed on display.

The overhaul of ex Metropolitan Railway 0-4-4T Met No. 1, has been changed to a cosmetic overhaul now as the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre have decided to postpone the return to steam on hold for now. Met No. 1 will be done up for display for the time being.

The ex Metropolitan Railway 0-4-4T Met No. 1 has now been withdrawn from service and is now undergoing its 10 year overhaul.

After spending the 2019 season at the Epping Ongar Railway in Essex former Metropolitan Railway 0-4-4T Met No. 1 is returning home to the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre for the winter.

Metropolitan Railway 0-4-4T Met No. 1 has had its loan extended and will be staying on at the Epping Ongar Railway in Essex for the 2019 season there.

The Metropolitan Railway 0-4-4T Met No. 1 has gone back on loan to the Epping Ongar Railway where it will be staying there for the winter and 2018 season.

Met No. 1 is currently visiting the Mid Norfolk Railway for the summer season there before it heads in to London for some steam on the met specials in Sepember.
