ILFORD reports that the loco carries the works plate from 449.60 (Henschel 14269 of 1916). Boiler carries plate with the number 777.

The boiler of No. 6024 "King Edward I" has successfully passed both its formal Hydraulic Test and steam test. The boiler was steamed for the first time since 2012 on the 5th of November 2019 at Bury in Lancashire. It is planned to return the boiler to the locomotives chassis on the same day it arrives at Minehead soon.

I can find no record of this locomotive in Austria. However, there is a O&K 6289/1913 from the Zuckerraffinerie, Nestomitz now preserved at Zlonice Railway museum, Czech Republic.

No.499.01(1) was delivered to the ÖBB as No.Kh.1 (1924 - 1938) becoming DRB No.99 1201 (1938 - 1945) and the same identity with ÖStB (1945 - 1953), thence becoming ÖBB No.499.01. Currently stored at VKEF, Treibach-Althofen

Originally kkStB No. U.7 Turrach (1899 - 1916) it has survived in basically that identity through several company changes to eventual acquisition by Club U44, and is now based on the Feistritztalbahn, at Hauptplatz 13, 8190 Birkfeld, Austria.

No.2 Wien was originally StEG-Werklok No.2, Wien when completed in their own factory as a 0-4-0CT (crane tank - with jib). Only in 1934 was it sold as Werksbahn Zuckerfabrik Siegendorf No 2 Wien. Preserved at Museum Fahrzeug - Technik - Luftfahrt, Sulzbach 178, 4820 Bad Ischl

Neusiedler AG No.2 was originally Fabrik Wagenmann, Seybel & Co., Wien-Liesing in 1917 and served with Shell-Mineralöl, Tanklager, Wien-Floridsdorf prior to employment with Papierfabrik Theresienfeld der Neusiedler AG. Construction work on New build London Brighton & South Coast Railway H2 Class Atlantic 4-4-2 No. 32424 "Beachy Head" has reached its final stages as the boiler had successfully passed its hydraulic test on the 29th of October 2019 and final preparations are now being made to fit its superheater header and elements, boiler cladding and insulation. The tender is now completed with the tank bolted to the chassis. It is hoped a steam test will happen in the New Year.

The ex Dunlop Rubber Company Peckett built W7 Class 0-4-0ST No. 7 is relocating to the Northamptonshire Ironstone Railway Trust at Northampton. Where the locomotive will stay for the foreseeable future as their main steam locomotive.

It has been confirmed that former WD Turkish Railways 8F 2-8-0 No. 45170 "Sir William McAlpine" is to be restored to its original 1940s War Department condition and livery with its original War Department number No. 554.

No. 6960 "Raveningham Hall" will be staying at the Severn Valley Railway until the end of her boiler ticket in 2021. The locomotive has been popular with visitors at the Severn Valley Railway where it will remain.

LMS Black Five No. 44871 will be visiting the Nene Valley Railway over the Christmas season where it will be working alongside No. 34081 "92 Squadron" on their Santa Specials and post Christmas services on 28th & 29th December 2019. The Black Five will also be doing some Driving Experience Days on 3rd and 4th January 2020.

The ex Dorothea Slate Quarry Bagnall built 0-4-0ST No. 1 "Wendy" has arrived at the Statfold Barn Railway at Tamworth in Staffordshire along with the rest of the former Hampshire Narrow Gauge collection which will be their new home.

I can find no record of this locomotive being extant in either Austria or Germany. If it is, the probable build number could be Schinau 4092 of 1943.

No. 35.233 (429.1971) was built for the kkStB in 1916 as No. 429.1971 (1917 - 1918) and kept that identity with the DÖStB (1918 - 1919); ÖStB (1919 - 1921) and BBÖ (1921 - 1938). It was given No. 35 233 with the DRB (1938 - 1938), kept by both the MÁV, with whom it also served (1945 - 1950), the ÖStB (1950 - 1953) and ÖBB (1953 - 1965) in revenue service prior to running as a departmental locomotive, No. Vz.01046 before preservation. Owned by Republik Österreich, Leihvertrag (leased to) ÖBB-Holding AG and based at Strasshof, though not present at that site in summer 2019.
