The Yugoslavian built Class 62 USA Type 0-6-0T No. 30075 (JZ 62.669), was steamed for the first time since 2010 in readyness for its final boiler inspection as its overhaul nears completion.

It has been confirmed that Kolhapur has been sold to West Coast Railways chairman David Smith. The locomotive is due to be transported to Carnforth in early June after which it will be overhauled to mainline condition.

The ex LMS, Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 5593 "Kolhapur", has been sold to West Coast Railway Company to be part of their mainline steam fleet. No. 5593 will be leaving her long term home at Tyseley Locomotive Works and relocating to her new home at West Coast Railway Company’s depot at Carnforth in Lancashire, for a full overhaul to mainline standards.

The ex Bowaters Paper Mills Kerr Stuart & Co. built Brazil Class 0-4-2ST Works No. 4219 "Melior", has been withdrawn from service following the end of its current boiler ticket and is now awaiting its next overhaul, which the Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway is now appealing for funds towards it along with the overhaul of Bowaters Paper Mills Bagnall built Baretto Class 0-6-2T Works No. 2624 "Superb", which details can be found on their website and social media pages.

The overhaul on the Talyllyn Railway’s ex Corris Railway Kerr Stuart & Co built Tattoo Class 0-4-2ST No. 4 "Edward Thomas", has now been completed and the locomotive is back operational and has now returned home to the Talyllyn Railway at Tywyn, Gwynedd in North Wales, in its new Works Grey Livery.

The ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7820 "Dinmore Manor", is to visit the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway for the first time for their first ever Steam Gala Weekend from the 13th to 15th of September 2024. The visit of No. 7820 to the railway will be the first time a tender locomotive has visited the line in preservation and the first Manor Class 4-6-0 to haul a train to Chinnor too then.

Correction: Locomotive was used by EBR (Eastern Bengal Railway) till 1936, then transferred to Bangladesh Railway for use at Saidpur Workshops. Infact that is the locomotives current location.

I am pretty sure this locomotive is scrapped. No.7 is the only preserved mallet in the Philippines.

Locomotive is actually internally classed as SGC-2 240 but is displayed as Bangladesh Railway 280. Initially worked for the EBR before transferring to Saidpur Works until retirement in 1983.

Locomotive might actually be SGS 2440, built by Vulcan. Could not find the year of construction. (likely between 1911 and 1921)

The new-build London Brighton & South Coast Railway (Marsh Designed) H2 Class Atlantic 4-4-2 No. 32424 "Beachy Head", built in 2024 is now an operational steam locomotive, as she was steamed and moved for the very first time. This makes No. 32424 the 5th new-build steam locomotive to enter service and the only operational standard gauge 4-4-2 Atlantic steam locomotive in the world. No. 32424 "Beachy Head", will now begin a series of testing and running in trials before entering service at the Bluebell Railway later in the year.

Milestone was reached in the overhaul and rebuild of ex GWR GWR Small Prairie 2-6-2T No. 4561 now reassembled on its newlby built main frames was reunited with its wheels for the next stage in its overhaul and rebuild back into steam again.
