The overhaul of ex Bowaters Paper Mills, Kerr Stuart & Co. built Brazil Class 0-4-2ST Works No. 4219 "Melior", is almost completed with the locomotive now almost ready for steam testing of its brand new boiler and test runs and should be ready in time for the Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway’s Steam, Diesel and Electic Gala weekend on the 26th and 27th of September 2026.

The ex Bowaters Paper Mills Kerr Stuart & Co. built Brazil Class 0-4-2ST Works No. 4219 "Melior", is to have a brand new boiler which is being built at Bennett Boilers of Highbridge in Somerset and will be delivered to the Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway in the New Year.

The ex Bowaters Paper Mills Kerr Stuart & Co. built Brazil Class 0-4-2ST Works No. 4219 "Melior", has been withdrawn from service following the end of its current boiler ticket and is now awaiting its next overhaul, which the Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway is now appealing for funds towards it along with the overhaul of Bowaters Paper Mills Bagnall built Baretto Class 0-6-2T Works No. 2624 "Superb", which details can be found on their website and social media pages.
