This locomotive and its sisters along with the complete collection that remained at Swanton after the devastating CZU fire in 2020 is now located at the Santa Margarita, California.

steamlocomotive.com, and other sources (AKA the "rumor mill") have said that this engine is supposedly going to be converted to a 2-6-0 as part of its restoration. Is there any truth to that?

Contruction number is 650

the 1500 was a 650 series loco

the Pacific's were a 700 series loco's

All Overfair Railway locomotives (including the one at Sacramento) were built by Louis MacDermott.  I don't know if they were given construction numbers, but if they were, this one would be 1.  It was built for use in the construction of the original Overfair Railway.
