The ex London, Brighton & South Coast Railway A1X Class Terrier 0-6-0T No. 672 "Fenchurch", will visit the West Somerset Railway for the very first time for their upcoming Spring Steam Spectacular event from the 2nd to 5th of May 2025, as part of the Railway 200 celebrations in 2025.

The rebuilt former Dundee Gasworks Kerr Stuart & Co built 0-4-2 "Bonny Dundee", will be making a return visit to its home at the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway for the first time in 20 years for their upcoming 150th Anniversary Gala from the 3rd to 5th of May 2025.

The Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railways Pacific No. 1 "Green Goddess", will be visiting the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway for their upcoming 150th Anniversary Gala from the 3rd to 5th of May 2025. No. 1 "Green Goddess" has strong connections to the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway as it underwent trial runs there when new in 1925 before moving to the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway.

After being a resident for two and a half years, the ex NCB, North Gawber Colliery Hudswell Clarke built 0-6-0T Works No. 1857, will be leaving the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway in May 2025, and will be returning back to Williton works on the West Somerset Railway.

Is the loco still present at the museum? There is no mention of it on the list of their collection on the website. The museum is concentrated on road vehicles, mainly buses and commercial vehicles.

The restoration of engine has been finished in september 2024, the loco was delivered back to Waldeisenbahn Muskau at 02.10.2024. The test runs started at 02.01.2025, the final start into service will be in spring 2025

The overhaul on ex Stewarts & Lloyds Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns built 0-6-0ST (Works No. 7761) No. 63 "Corby", is now getting underway at the Epping Ongar Railway with work on removing the tubes from the boiler ready for work to be carried out.

The ex GWR 64xx Class 0-6-0PT No. 6412, has now been withdrawn from service having come to the end of its 10 year boiler ticket and is now awaiting overhaul. No. 6412 had hauled its final trains at the South Devon Railway during their Winter Steam Gala earler in the year.

Just wondering if you have any information about Locomotive #10. My mother told me that was my grandfather Tim Messier’s when he worked for the LS&I. He retired after 50 plus years at the end of 1948.

According to Railway Preservation News, this locomotive has been sold again. It looks like she was too heavy for the Valley Railroad. So she has been sold to the Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway and is currently stored in Candor, North Carolina.

The ex Byfield Quarries, Bagnall built 0-6-0ST Works No. 2655 "Byfield No. 2", has been sold to a new owner and the locomotive has now left the Plym Valley Railway and has relocated to its new home at the Foxfield Railway at Stoke on Trent in Staffordshire, where it is now under overhaul.

The ex GWR 1366 Class 0-6-0PT No. 1369, has gone on loan to the Bristol Harbour Railway for the 2025 season, while their ex Port of Bristol Authority, Peckett built 0-6-0ST (Works No. 1940) No. 6 "Henbury", is at the South Devon Railway visiting for the 2025 season.

This is NBL 17820/1907. Withdrawn in 1992. Dumped at Bankura shed by 1999. Nominally preserved by 2008, still at Bankura. No news since.

The "Falk" is still operational as of 2025 but is undergoing some boiler tube work and inspections so not likely to be running in 2025. It is owned by Timber Heritage Association and is stored in a barn along an operational display track at Fort Humboldt State Park in Eureka.

With repairs completed to its large injector, the Yugoslavian built Class 62 USA Type 0-6-0T No. 30075 (JZ 62.669), soon undergo another steam test at Shillingstone when its side tanks have been refitted and the fitment of the repaired large injector are back on for another go in the coming weeks.

The ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7802 "Bradley Manor", was successfully steamed and operated for the first time 2019, and its brand new cylinder block held well too during testing on the short running line at Tyseley Locomotive Works. No. 7802 will be moving back home to the Severn Valley Railway at Bridgnorth in Shropshire at the end of the month for futher testing and running-in trials before entering service for the 2025 running season.

The ex Southern Railway Schools Class 4-4-0 No. 928 "Stowe", has now left J. M. Steam Engineering Ltd, at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre and has returned home to the Bluebell Railway at Sheffield Park in Sussex for its final stages of its overhaul to be completed.

Thomas Kautzor was quite correct in October 2023. The ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas", will be visiting the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for the very first time to operate a series of trains from the 5th to 13th of April 2025. This will be the first time an ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 has worked over the North Yorkshire Moors line since 1983, when sister ex LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45690 "Leander", visited the line for a short term loan back then.

The ex LMS Black Five 4-6-0 No. 45212, will be operating trains at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway this weekend and into next week as well as it will be one of the last opportunities to see No. 45212 operating at the railway as this year is the locomotive’s last running season on both the mainline and heritage railway circuit as No. 45212 is due to be withdrawn from service for its next overhaul later this year.
