The overhaul on ex War Department, Longmoor Military Railway and National Coal Board, Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns built Austerity 0-6-0ST (WD No. 75189) No. 152 "Rennes", has now been completed and the locomotive is now operational again and is set to visit the Swanage Railway for the first time for their Spring Steam Gala the 27th to 29th of March 2026.

The overhaul on ex War Department, Longmoor Military Railway and National Coal Board, Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns built Austerity 0-6-0ST (WD No. 75189) No. 152 "Rennes", is almost completed at the Dean Forest Railway as the boiler was placed back onto the frames of the locomotive following completion of work done on it. The bottom end has also received attention, with new axlebox underkeep oil pads fitted, new spring link pins fitted, a deep clean and repaint.

The restoration to "Rennes" has now been completed by Western Steam Engineering Ltd at Norchard on the Dean Forest Railway. The locomotive has now been fully painted in its Longmoor Military Railway livery as No. 152. It is soon to be steam tested in readiness for its debut at the Wartime Gala on the 19th to the 20th of May.

Another locomotive that will be painted in the colours of the Longmoor Military Railway this year will be 75189 Rennes. This Austerity 0-6-0ST did work at the Longmoor Military Railway from new in 1944 where it was numbered WD152. Now nearing the end of its restoration WD152 Rennes will make its debut in preservation at the Dean Forest Railway at there Wartime Forest Steam Gala.

75189 has been moved to the Dean Forest Railway for a return to traffic in 2017.
