The ex GWR 64xx Class 0-6-0PT No. 6412, has now been withdrawn from service having come to the end of its 10 year boiler ticket and is now awaiting overhaul. No. 6412 had hauled its final trains at the South Devon Railway during their Winter Steam Gala earler in the year.

The ex GWR 64xx Class 0-6-0PT No. 6412 is going on hire to the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway in Oxfordshire as their main steam locomotive for the 2021 season starting from April.

6412 will be visiting the East Lancashire Railway for their Spring Steam Gala on 6th-8th March, as a late visiting locomotive. She will only be the second 6400 to visit the ELR, after 6430 in 2015.

6412 is making a return visit to the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway to be their main steam locomotive for the 2020 season. She last visited in 2017.

No. 6412 will visit its former home the West Somerset Railway for their Autumn Steam Gala on the 3rd to 6th October 2019. Which 2019 marks the 40th anniversary of the West Somerset Railway reopening in 1979 at a preserved line.

No. 6412 will be visiting the West Somerset Railway after all, as she is booked for the Autumn Steam Gala on October 3rd-6th. This former resident hauled the reopening train in 1976 and was last seen on the WSR in 2008.

No. 6412 is located at the South Devon Railway at Buckfastleigh in Devon as it was sold to them a few years ago to be part of there running fleet.

No. 6412 will be making a visit to the Battlefield Line Railway for there Autumn Steam Gala on the weekend of October 13th and 14th 2018. And its status should say its operational as its been for the past few years and its not at the West Somerset Railway anymore as it was sold to the South Devon Railway which is its current location.

6412 has returned home to the South Devon Railway at Buckfastleigh having been visiting the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway for the 2017 season there.

6412 will be going on loan to the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway for the 2017 season there. It will return to the South Devon Railway in the winter.

6412 has since moved to the South Devon Railway and is back in working order.

Although 6412 belongs to the West Somerset Railway Association she has spent most of 2002 away from the line on hire.  She is a 2P 0-6-0PT, a pannier tank without which no Great Western scene is complete.

Weight: 45 tons 12 cwt.
