George Morris, who provided the information for this locomotive supplied the following background information: * Rebuilt 1946 from 0-8-0 E class 1152 to 2-8-0 E2 class * Located at Bo i tåget (live in the train) bed and breakfast, Tärnsjö, Sweden * Carries chimney from scrapped E2 class 956 * When seen (June 2022) part way through a repaint.

Originally delivered to KPEV Coeln Division as No. 1100, which later became Saarbruecken Division in the same identity, later Nos. 1021, then 3143, being withdrawn from Bw Trier in 1911. The reconstructed version was placed in NTM during 1984.

The location of this locomotive is: 25400 Audincourt/Les Forges (Doubs 25), Av Jean Jaures. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find it on Google Earth, so have not yet added a map for it.

Joachim Lutz, who provided the information for this locomotive describes its history: It spent its complete life at Audincourt. It was taken out of service in 1968 at the Audincourt steelworks, and spent some years stored at a scrap dealer in Audincourt. Since 1997 it has been at its present location beside the former location of the steelworks.

The former CEGB, Northampton Bagnall built 0-4-0ST Works No. 2565 has been put up for sale by its owner to see it go to a good new home. The locomotive last steamed in December 2021 and is now in need of a 10 year overhaul.

The former Royal Navy, Devonport Bagnall built 0-4-0ST No. 19 (Works No. 2962) has been put up for sale by the Bodmin & Wenford Railway. No. 19 is currently not operational but is in good mechanical condition but requiring extensive boiler repairs that need to be carried out.

The ex NCB Graig Merthyr Colliery Hunslet built Austerity 0-6-0ST Works No. 3770 "Norma" will be the next steam locomotive to be overhauled for use again at the Cambrian Heritage Railway when the overhaul on Peckett 0-4-0ST No. 6 (Works No. 2131) "Oliver Veltom" is completed in 2023.

The former CWS Irlam Soap Works Peckett built 0-4-0ST No. 6 (Works No. 2131) "Oliver Veltom" is under overhaul at Oswestry and is expected to steam again at the Cambrian Heritage Railway in 2023 doubling its operational locomotive fleet then.

The ex NCB Bowhill Colliery Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST No. 6 (Works No. 2261) known as the "Fife Flyer" is under overhaul at Oswestry and is expected to be in steam again at the Cambrian Heritage Railway in 2023.

The plans to overhaul ex GWR King Class 4-6-0 No. 6023 "King Edward II" have been put on hold for now as the overhaul team at Dicot focuses on the overhaul of GWR 1316 Class 0-6-0ST No. 1363. No. 6023 will be overhauled again in the not to distant future but for now the locomotive will remain on display at Didcot Railway Centre for the time being.

The only surviving Great Western Railway Churchward 1316 Class 0-6-0ST No. 1363 is the next big overhaul project for the Didcot Railway Centre. Having not been steamed since the late 1970s No. 1363 is part way through its overhaul and rebuild and will now be the next overhaul project to complete at Didcot.

The original 52-4779, built by OK / MBA 13830 in 1943 was lost in the war and scrapped, so it only lasted a year or two. The loco now existing, started life as SDZ 33-001, the frames are stamped Borsig 16277 of 1944, the boiler is Henschel 28370 of 1944 (the loco is usually identified with the boiler number). The loco was with the DB after the war as 52-4779, a duplicate number (this was given to hide its original identity). Later the loco was sold to JZ 33-248 in 1952, later transferred to Bukinje.

Do not let the primary photo fool you. The loco is in poor condition externally. Faded, peeling paint and rust everywhere. The tender tank is rotted through all along the right hand side. Look at the video for its condition in June 2022.

Supplied originaly in 750mm gauge as Kloeckner Werke AG, Georgsmarienhuette as No. 1, later in 1938 was re-gauged to 830mm and re-numbered to 249. It was purchased privately in 1972 by a P Gruetzmacher of Emmerthal-Luentorf and then, in 1990 by the WIM, Hattingen where it was eventually diplayed in their Industry Museum at Henrichshuette.

Originally Brunswick Railway named "KIEL" that, in 1885 went to KED Hannover Division as their No. 1417 and, in 1895 to Cassel Diviision in the same identity prior to being re-numbered 1467 until 1901. In Autumn 1902 it moved to Sugar Factory Noerten-Hardenberg as their No. 1, working through until late 1960. It was saved for preservation in Berlin, firstly in Bw Holzminden 1963-1970 and, 1970-1986 at Bw Hameln, reaching the MTV in that latter year.

Formerly CdF Orientaux Co. No. 47. Construction number is 801, extant in 2010 in Sivas, Sivas Province, Turkey

2857 has been granted a 6 month extension to her boiler certificate, meaning she will be able to see out the rest of the 2022 season on the SVR. She will appear at the Autumn steam gala and haul the Santa Specials. In addition, the 2857 Society have plans for a farewell special train for the engine.

Originally built for the Altos Hornos de Vizcaya (AHV) Steelworks, Bilbao and delivered to this largest steel-works in Spain during August 1913. I can find no record of the company ever producing or re-building steam locomotices

The locomotive was actually ordered as Borsig 16270 but, due to circumstances at the time, was delivered to the DRB lin its O & K guise late in WW2. It maybhave been allocated DRB number 52 4779 but probably never ran in this guise, instead being placed in SBZ Military Administration as their No. 33 001. It later went to Bukinje as No. 33.248.

The locomotive was actually ordered as Borsig 15890 but, due to circumstances at the time, was delivered to the DRB lin its Henschel & Sohn guise late in WW2. It later went to Bukinje.

Originally delivered to the DRB as No. 52 474 (probably actually from the Henigsdorf factory) that, in 1949 joined the newly created DR fleet in the same identity until being rebuilt in 1965 at Raw Stendal as No. 52 8135, later 52 8135-7. It was widrawn in 1990 at Bw Brandenburg and purchased in late 1991 by EWK, Brandenburg and displayed in 1993 in Aeropark Diepensee, later in Wildau as listed.

Perhaps the builder column here, needs to be re-defined as Builder: AHV (Borsig was not operational or the builder after WW2, i.e. part of AEG! The Spannish website is not too informative here a to original owner!

Originally delivered to the DRB as No. 52 467 which was allocated to the emerging DR after WW2 in 1949 in the same identity and rebuilt in 1967, becoming No. 52 8200-9 until being withdrawn by the suceeding DB at Bw Bautzen in early 1993 and sold to the OEF, Lobau that year. In 1994 it wentbto the CFV3V at Mariembourg, Couvin, Belgium.
