Delivery and acceptance in 08/1939 to DRB - Deutsche Reichsbahn as No. 41 052 at Reichsbahn repair shop Nied, Frankfurt (Main)-Nied that after WW2 found itself within the RBGD - Reichsbahn General Directorate of the British Zone of Occupation, Bielefeld that eventually became the HVE as the Railway Department into the Transport Administration, that in 1949 created the DB - Deutsche Bundesbahn in 1949. In 1960 the locomotive was modified and super-heated re-boilered (Henschel 29922/1960) at Aw Braunschweig and in 1968, computerised and renumbered 042 052-1. It was withdrawn from Bw Rheine in 02/1977, later that year going to the City of Osnabrück, Tourist Office in that identity and, in 07/1979 displayed in Roteburger Straße, Osnabrück and in 09/2001 secured by ODF - Osnabrücker Dampflokfreunde e. V., at Osnabrück-Piesberg as 41 052.

DRB - Deutsche Reichsbahn at Raw Frankfurt (Main)-Nied as No. 41 025 in 06/1939 and following WW2 it found itself in the then East Germany but is recorded as being out of service until 1953, being re-constructed for over a year 1960-1961 at Aw Zwickau. receioving new boiler Zwickau 36/1959. It was re-numbered as 41 1025-0 in 1970 then ran until 1989 before entering Aw Meiningen for conversion into a stationary heating engine, at several DDR locations (Bw Saltwedel; Magdeburg-Rothensee & Stassfurt prior to being withdrawn in 1991 and moved to Hermeskeil.

The locomotived joined the newly created DB - Deutsche Bundesbahn in 1949 and, in 1961, was fitted with a new boiler, Henschel 29931/1960, at Aw Braunschweig. It was computerised from 01/1968 as No. 042 024-0 and ran until being withdrawn in 1977 and immediately preserved at the EDK - Eisenbahnmuseum Darmstadt-Kranichstein e. V., Darmstadt-Kranichstei, Hessen, Germany.

Delivery to, and acceptence by the DRB - Deutches Reichsbahn as No. 41 018 in O7/1939 that, at the end of WW2 in 1945 bacame RBGD - Reichsbahn General Directorate of the British Occupation Zone, Bielefeld, the organisation eventually becoming the HVE as the Railway Department into the Transport Administration. In 07/1949 the locomotive joined the newly created DB - Deutsche Bundesbahn in West Germany, being modified during 1961 at Bw Braunschweig with a new superheated boiler, Henschel No. 29937/1961), It was computerised in 1970 as No. 042 018-2 and ran until 09/1976, then withdrawn and went to interest group 41 018 e. V., München, Germany that became the DGM - Dampflok-Gesellschaft München e. V., München, Bayern, Deutschland; the locomotive as No. 41 018.

Delivery to, and acceptance by the DRB - Deutsche Reichsbahn as No. 44 100 at the Reichsbahn repair shop Göttingen. It suffered war damage, after which it spent some time/years awaiting repairs, and in 08/1945 fiound itself in the RBGD - Reichsbahn General Directorate of the British Zone of Occupation, Bielefeld , that later became the HVE as the Railway Department into the Transport Administration and, in 07/1949 the newly created DB - Deutsche Bundesbahn in the same identity. In 02/1960 it had a repair shop conversion at Bw Braunschweig to its firing equipment. From 01/1968 it was computerised, becoming No. 043 100-7 and ran until being withdrawn from Bw Rheine in 01/1977, being bought privately in 02/1979 by Eberhard Layher, Eibensbach. Another locomotive that was probably not ordered by the Heeresfeldbahn, to whom it was actually delivered and for which no identity is recorded ?, and after WW2 it worked for one or more construction companies before ending up at Eckert scrap yard, Schwartzenfeld and from whom it was purchased privately in the 1980s by an ethusiast from Kulmbach for the DDM. Only in 1990 did it go to the DFKM at Bahnhofstraße 3, 21717 Deinste, Germany, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany and where it was fitted with a new boiler, BMAG 10972/1937, but appears not to currently present as per their website:- www.feldbahn-deinste.de, but instead the only working steam appears to be Nr.: 1, Henschel 20925/1927, details as previously given.

The North British Locomotive Preservation Group Newsletter for January 2023 reports that the loco has been cosmetically restored by Wonder Steam Trains of Pretoria. This historic locomotive was used by the Imperial Military Railways for carrying troops and supplies to Pretoria during the Anglo-Boer War between 1899 and 1902.

The famous ex GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 No. 4079 "Pendennis Castle" is to start touring the heritage railway circuit around the UK this year as No. 4079 is to be the star visiting locomotive at the Severn Valley Railway’s Spring Steam Gala from the 14th to 16th of April 2023. This will be the first time that "Pendennis Castle" has ever visited a preserved railway since her repatriation from Australia.

This locomotive was originally delivered, though probably not ordered, by the German military for the Heeresfeldbahn n 600mm gauge, though no identity has been recorded. It later worked for various companies in Gremany before being purchased by the Bauer brothers in the USA during 1966. It then went to the Western Railroad, St Marys, PA as No. 1 OTTO.

Originally delivered to brothers Martinez, Köln, it later went to Hermann Sievers gravel plant, Lürschau as No. 4 though, ginen thate date and gauge, it quite probably was employed the the military during WW2. It later went to Jagdhütte Märchenwald, Tolk; then the Feld and Kleinbahn Betriebs GmbH as WILDE ERICA at Wörme bei Handelho, and where it was in 2002.

The ex Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway A Class 0-6-0 No. 52322 will be visiting the Bluebell Railway for the first time to star at their Branch line Weekend from the 21st to 23rd of Arpil 2023. The locomotive will star alongside ex Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Class 21 Pug 0-4-0ST No. 19 (No. 51241) also from the East Lancashire Railway for the Gala which will have a Northern theme to it this year.

The sole surviving ex LNER Q7 0-8-0 No. 901 has now left the Head of Steam Museum and has relocated back to Locomotion Museum at Shildon in Durham for display in their brand new New Hall which opens later this year.

The ex Yates & Duxbury Ltd. Peckett built 0-4-0ST Works No. 1370 "May" has been sold by the Beet family to the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre at Quainton Road in Buckinghamshire where it has now relocated too as its new home.

Livracao was visited on 19th January 2023. O ly 1 railcar is believed to be stored at the old shed 9102. The other shed is now empty. Current whereabouts of loco is unknown

Originally supplied new to the German Armys Heeresfeldbahn, in no recorded identity, that later went (no informetion is recorded of its post-war activities) to the Eckert Scrap yard, Schwarzenfeld and, in 1987, to the DDM at Neuenmarkt-Wirsberg.

This was originally supplied to the Ore Mining co., Salzgitter as their No. 4 in 900mm gauge. In 1965 it was sold to BJ Pollard, Detroit, USA for an Amusement Park and, in 1980, it went ti to the Midwest Central Railroad, Mount Pleasant, Iowa and, in 1990, to the Festa Amusement Park, El Paso, TX, USA and then identified as No. 502 and named GRETA but then coverted to a diesel hydraulic ?

Another locomotive that was originionally delivered to the P Holzmann construction company in Frankfurt am Main, Germany (with no recorded identity and for whom it was employed for all of its professional life. In 1964 it was sold to Donald Beckner (Steam Village as No. 2 at Gilford, NH and, in 1968, to G.H. McEvoy of tge Boothbay Railway Village, possible as spares for their No. 11, in ME, USA

This was originionally delivered to the P Holzmann construction company in Frankfurt am Main (with no recorded identity) and for whom it was employed, it would appear for its entire professional life. In 1965 it was sold to Donald Beckner (Steam Village as No. 11 at Gilford, Laconia, NH and, in 1968, to G.H. This was supplied through company R Dollberg to the Heeresfeldbahn (German Army) as their No. 5026 that in 1945 joined the Bayern Brown Coal industry in Schwandorf. After its working life it went to Eckert Scrap yard, Schwarzenfeld but was saved, in 1981, by members of the DRM - Dampf Rhein-Main, in FF (M) who then gave it the number 6. It was stored at their site in 2006.

DEW is an abbreviation for the Dampf Eisenbahn Weserbergland! The locomotive itself was delivered, via a intermadiary, to Zeche Monopol, Kamen as No. VIII; later to Ruhrkohle Konigsborn 3/4, Bönen-Altenbögge as D 779 where it was in 1974, later going to BAG Westfalen, Kamen-Herren as D 776. In 1976 it went to Rinteln as MONOPOL 8 and, in 2008 to Steam Railway DEW at Stadthagen-West, Niedersachsen, Germony.

Originally ordered by to SEG - Süddeutsche Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft AG, Darmstadt but actually delivered to the IGE - Ilmenau-Großhöhenbacher Eisenbahn, Ilmenau as No. 400 which, post WW2 only went to the DR - Deutsche Reichsbahn in East Germany as No. 91 6580 and worked for them until late 1967. Two years later it found employment at VEB (K) Industriebahn Erfurt, Erfurt and became their No. 4 until decommissioned in 1979 for Inclusion in the DR traditional locomotive stock, again as No. 91 6580 based at Bw Arnstadt where it was in 2003.

The locomotive was initially supplied either to, or through, R Dollberg, Berlin that only later was with P Holzmann, Frankfurt am Main. and in the 1959s at Deichbaubahn Greetsielin identity G 9. It was sold to Walter Leyh during 1964 and transhipped across the Pond to MD, USA, where it is now.

Initially supplied to construction company E Buchmann, Köln that later went to Organisation Todt then to Fourchamhault, Nièvre, France - then to L Gatty, Mouli-Neuf, Luzy as their No. 7. In 1966 it went to Floralies d Orléans, Parc de la Source du Loiret, Olivet then, in 1971, to CFCD as FULDA and where it was stored in 1996.

This was delivered new to Saargruben AG, Saarbrücken, Germany as their No. 12 and after WW2 worked at Mission Française des Mines de la Sarre, Saarbrücken,; later RMS - Régie des Mines de la Sarre, Saarbrücken which in 1954 became S. B.W. - Saarbergwerke, Saarbrücken and, in 1967 SBW - Saarbergwerke AG, Saarbrücken, the locomotive No. 26. This was first preserved in 1982 in Grube Duhamel, Ensdorf, Germany then in 1987 at MECL - Museums-Eisenbahn-Club Losheim Eisenbahnfreunde e. V., Losheim, Germany and named Merzig as well as No. 26., receiving a new boiler No. 1466 from Raw Meiningen in 1990! and where it was in 07/2021.

This was delivered new to A Amschutz, Bad Homburg and during WW2 it was used (no HF identity recorded) by the German Army. In 1945 it went to Sauerländische Lime Industries, Messinghausen bei Brilon and, in 1962, to Hermann Sievers Ironworks Lürschau, Schleswig as his No. 3 working until 1972, then stored until 1975.. Only in 1977 did it go to Schinznacher Baumschulbahn, Aargau, Switzerland, as PINUS and where it was in 2001.
