Originally ordered by to SEG - Süddeutsche Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft AG, Darmstadt but actually delivered to the IGE - Ilmenau-Großhöhenbacher Eisenbahn, Ilmenau as No. 400 which, post WW2 only went to the DR - Deutsche Reichsbahn in East Germany as No. 91 6580 and worked for them until late 1967. Two years later it found employment at VEB (K) Industriebahn Erfurt, Erfurt and became their No. 4 until decommissioned in 1979 for Inclusion in the DR traditional locomotive stock, again as No. 91 6580 based at Bw Arnstadt where it was in 2003.
