DRB - Deutsche Reichsbahn at Raw Frankfurt (Main)-Nied as No. 41 024 in 06/1939 and following WW2 it went, in 1945, to the RBGD - Reichsbahn-Generaldirektion der britischen Besatzungszone, Bielefeld, that later became the HVE als Hauptabteilung Eisenbahn in die Verwaltung für Verkehr. The locomotived joined the newly created DB - Deutsche Bundesbahn in 1949 and, in 1961, was fitted with a new boiler, Henschel 29931/1960, at Aw Braunschweig. It was computerised from 01/1968 as No. 042 024-0 and ran until being withdrawn in 1977 and immediately preserved at the EDK - Eisenbahnmuseum Darmstadt-Kranichstein e. V., Darmstadt-Kranichstei, Hessen, Germany.
