4-6-0 SJ No. B 1267 (Motala 555/1915 - SWB A 97) is currently in operational condition and working from Nora, NOT Sala. The locomotive bears its correct build plate; however that on the tender bears the number 302 of 1905!

According to the affixed construction plate, the builder was in fact Nydovist & Holm (later NoHAB) beaing the number 387 of 1887, rather than the quoted number of 249.

More correctly this is a 0-4-2ST (rather than 0-4-2T) NKIJ No. 1 and the actual builder was Henry Hughes & Co, Loughborough (rather than Falcon Engineering - presumably a subsequent, like Brush, name). There is no construction number but the letters UA appear in brass above 1874) in Hagfors Museum on 02 July 2019

Details posted of this locomotive appear to be incorrect! It is NOT a 0-6-0T nor is the construction number (according to its plate - which I appreciate may in itself be false) 1117! Details recorded at Hagfors Museum (including its name) on 02 July 2019 are:- 0-6-2T UHB No. 5 LOVISA TRANÆA (Avonside, Bristol 1114/1875).

The ex Lambton, Hetton & Joicey Collieries Kitson & Co built 0-6-2T No. 29 is in her final stages of her overhaul as the locomotive has been reassembled and is being repainted before steam tests and test runs at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway later this month. When successfully entering service No. 29 is off to visit Peak Rail in Derbyshire for their first Mixed Traffic Gala on the weekend of August 10th and 11th 2019.

See photo, front number is 555-3221. Loco originally 555-0221 as a coal burner, but was rebuilt to burn oil in 1963 and 3000 added to the number.

7802s stint at the West Somerset Railway has been cut short as the loco failed in traffic on 7th July with a broken piston rod. Having suffered considerable damage, it is likely she will be out of service for a lengthy period.

WTR Sandy is the second visitor for the Cleethorpes Light Railway Summer Steam and Beer Extravaganza on 13th-14th July, the other being EVR St. Egwin. It is only the second time that Sandy has been away from her home line, the only other being the Perrygrove Railway in 2016.

Both Porters at Dry Gulch have now been purchased by Doe River Gorge Ministries and will be shortly relocated to Johnson City, TN. They both will be converted to run on coal and are anticipated to be running by Thanksgiving 2020.

The former South African Railways North British Locomotive Company built 4-8-2+2-8-4 Garratt No. 4112 is to be moved too the historic railway depot at St Rollox in Glasgow for a much needed cosmetic restoration to be carried out.
