Originally built for burning coal, the CFA number was 101, the first of a class of six locomotives. When coming under RENFE ownership in 1941 they were renumbered 462-0401 to 462-0496, the ‘F’ only being added when converted to oil burning. They ended their days heading passenger trains along the coast south from Tarrogona to Sevilla.
