Santa Fe 4-8-4 3751 was taken out of service in 2017 for her 15-year FRA exam, which is progressing very slowly. Please change status to Overhaul.

No. 68030 is currently in storage at the Llangollen Railway for the time being as there are no intermediate plans for a overhaul by its owners for now.

8F No. 48624 has now been withdrawn from service for her 10-year overhaul. She had one extra day in service on Wednesday, 31st July. Please change status to Stored, or Overhaul.

Following her in-traffic failure at the West Somerset Railway, Bradley Manor has been sent to Tyseley Locomotive Works in order to carry out the necessary repairs.

This locomotive is famous for starring in the 1921 short film The Goat with Buster Keaton. The most well known scene is that dramatic entrance with Keaton on the buffbeam of the 1229. However the locomotive in the film appears to be much larger than she is today.

9466 is to be the second visiting locomotive at the North Norfolk Railway for their Autumn Steam Gala on the 30th of August and the 1st of September 2019. Which this will be first visit of 9466 to the railway.

Following its purchase by the North British Locomotive Group the ex Richards Bay Coal Terminal North British built 4-8-2T No. 3 has been moved from Reefsteamers depot at Germiston in Johannesburg and has been relocated too the Wonderboom Transport Museum near Pretoria.

The former Great Eastern Railway Y14 0-6-0 No. 564 will be visiting the Spa Valley Railway in Kent for the Autumn and Winter from October till the end of January 2020. Where the locomotive will operate during their Real Ale & Cider Festival on the 18th to 20th October 2019 and will hauling their Santa Specials over the Christmas season. No. 564 will round off its visit there along side her North Norfolk Railway stable mate Hunslet built 0-6-0ST "Ring Haw" during their Winter Steam up in January 2020.

My recntly posted image of MÁV 0-6-0 No. 326.321 (MÁVAG, Budapest 611/1891) was photographed plinthed outside Pécs depot, Hungary on 11 April 1996. Presumably it has since moved to the current recorded location.

One alteration is the sister loco to ours, BJ 51, which was moved from Hultsfred some years ago back to the Nat. Railway museum in Gävle who owns it and just a few weeks ago it passed through Trollhättan on the way from Gävle to Ängleholm where a Group of museum friends will inspect it see if it can be brought back to ”steaming life”

The ex Richards Bay Coal Terminal North British built 4-8-2T No. 3 has been bought for preservation by the UK based North British Locomotive Preservation Group. Having reached the full purchase price for No. 25916 which has been paid for the locomotive. But funding is still open as the Group still need to raise another £2,000 to cover road haulage costs to move the locomotive to a safe storage site and a new paint job.

In September 2019, the loco will arrive at the National Railway Museum at York after temporary display at Manchester Museum of Science and Industry. York will be the loco's new permanent home.

70000 Britannia is being specially renamed for Saphos Trains Golden Arrow on 26th October. She will be running as 70014 Iron Duke, one of the two Brits specially allocated to the Southern for hauling this train. She was last in this guise in the 1990s.

34046 Braunton will be paying a visit to the East Lancashire Railway during August, running alongside air-smoothed sister 34092 City of Wells. She was last at the ELR from 2012-2013, when she undertook running-in duties before returning to the main line.

LMS rebuilt Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 No. 46115 "Scots Guardsman" overhaul has been completed as the locomotive was seen out on a light engine test run from Carnforth to Hellifield today.

Along with Greyhound 30120, Schools class Repton will be visiting the Great Central for their Autumn Gala. She is the first V class to visit the GCR since 30925 Cheltenham in 2012. Once again, this gala has a distinct Southern theme.
