The Fowler/Stanier rebuilt ex LMS Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 No. 46115 "Scots Guardsman", will visit the Severn Valley Railway for the very first time in place of No. 60163 "Tornado", which now unable to visit for their Railway 200: Trains Through The Ages event on the 5th and 6th of July 2025.

The Fowler/Stanier rebuilt ex LMS Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 No. 46115 "Scots Guardsman", will be one of many locomotives taking part on display at the Greatest Gathering at Litchurch Lane works in Derby as part of the Railway 200 celebrations from the 1st to 3rd of August 2025. To mark 200 years of opening of the Stockton and Darlington Railway and 200 years of the modern railway we all know and use today.

The Fowler/Stanier rebuilt ex LMS Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 No. 46115 "Scots Guardsman", is set to return to the mainline this year after a years absence, as the locomotive has been requested for triple celebrations in 2025. As not only is it 200 years of the modern railway it is also the 150th anniversary of the opening of the famous Settle and Carlisle Railway, along with the City of Bradford celebrating its year as the City of Culture. No. 46115 will work a speical train from Bradford Forster Square to Carlisle and back to mark these special celebrations.

LMS rebuilt Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 No. 46115 "Scots Guardsman" overhaul has been completed as the locomotive was seen out on a light engine test run from Carnforth to Hellifield today.

Having worked its final railtour yesterday over the Settle and Carlisle Railway No. 46115 "Scots Guardsman" has now been withdrawn from service to under go a heavy overhaul and rebuild at Carnforth depot.

46115 "Scots Guardsman" is soon to be withdrawn from service for overhaul as it needs a new cylinder to be fitted as one of them has cracks in it.
