Dale W Fickés gives the loco history as follows: Delivered from manufacturer as Mühlkreisbahn No.2 'Aigen' (1887 - 1900); kkStB 9462 (1900 - 1905); kkStB, DÖStb, ÖStb & BBÖ No.494.62 (1905 - 1930) then Hohenauer Zuckerfabrik Werklok. Plinthed in Hohenau until 1987, then outside Linz Hbf until 2001. Currently resident at Mühlkreisbahnmuseum, Bahnhofstraße 53, 4150 Berg bei Rohrbach, Austria.

The former Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Ironclad 0-6-0 No. 957 is to be painted back in the Green Livery it had on for the of "The Green Dragon" in the 1970 Railway Children film when it returns to traffic for the 50th anniversary of the film in 2020.

No. 60009 "Union of South Africa" will return to the East Lancashire Railway where she will stay for most of October and will be part of the line up of locomotives at their Autumn Steam Gala from the 18th to 20th of October 2019.

LMS 8F 2-8-0 No. 48151 the only 8F that is currently mainline registered has been withdrawn from service to undergo its 10 year overhaul having hauled its final mainline railtour over the Bank Holiday weekend.

This is actually C/N 8068, and was sold to the Baughman family of Nelsonville Ohio. Recently moved 8/25/2019 to the American Industrial Mining Museum for restoration.

The former Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Aspinall 23 Class 0-6-0ST No. 752 was steamed for the very first time in 38 years. This marks the final stages of the overhaul as the locomotive will hopefully enter traffic at the East Lancashire Railway from March 2020.

The ex GNR N2 0-6-2T No. 1744 has been moved to Northern Steam Engineering Limited at Stockton on Tees for its overhaul to mainline standards to be carried out there. The hope is to have the locomotive back in steam again for its centenary in 2020.

The Ffestiniog Railway No. 8 "James Spooner" is a new build replica of the original 1872 Avonside built one and is the first new build Double Fairlie 0-4-4-0T since the 1992 built No. 12 "David Lloyd George". The construction of No. 8 is using parts from No. 11 "Earl of Merioneth" and it is hoped that the locomotive will enter service in 2020.

Due to LMS Jinty No. 47406 being unavailable the NCB Cadeby Main Colliery Hunslet built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 66 the very last commercially produced standard gauge steam locomotive in the UK has been hired in to visit the Epping Ongar Railway in Essex for the August Bank Holiday weekend.
