Canadian National 0-6-0 #7470 has returned to service after her 1472-day exam, once again becoming the railroads sole operational steam locomotive.

After pulling the Final steam in the snow excursion on the 3rd day of the new year(1-3-15), all of the trains are 100% dieselized as 7470 was sadly disassembled to pieces for the FRA inspection.

No. 7470 is under restoration, with boiler work being done by the Boothbay Railway Village. Is expected to return to service sometime later this year.

#7470 Was Built By The Baldwin Locomotive Works In 1921 By The Grand Trunk Railway And The Grand Trunk Western Railway For The Denver And Rio Grande Western Railway Now At The Conway Scenic Railroad In New Hampshire And Renumbered To #47 In The 1970s And 80s
