With the overhaul on No. 51456 now completed the ex Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Pug 0-4-0ST No. 51218 is now next in line for overhaul and is due to have a inspection for it.

No. 7027 has now arrived at her new home at the Great Central Railway at Loughborough in Leicestershire where the locomotive will be restored to steam again as part of their running fleet.

BR Standard 9F 2-10-0 No. 92212 will initially be moved to Locomotive Storage Ltd (One:One Collection) at the old Hornby Factory at Margate in Kent for display while it awaits a slot for overhaul at LNWR Heritage at Crewe where the spare boiler from sister 9F No. 92245 is being overhauled in readiness for fitting to 92212.

With work on Pete Waterman’s ex GWR Small Prairie 2-6-2T No. 5553 in its final stages of overhaul work is now being turned too his GWR 5205 Class 2-8-0T No. 5224 which her overhaul is now underway.

GWR Small Prairie 2-6-2T No. 4555 was steamed and moved under its own power for the first time on the 17th of January 2020 which this marks the end of its overhaul. No. 4555 is all set to visit the South Devon Railway in March after which she will go on two-year loan to the East Somerset Railway at Cranmore. Starting with appearance at their Steam Gala on the 21st and 22nd of March 2020 and will operate along side its Dartmouth Steam Railway stable mate 5205 Class 2-8-0T No. 5239 "Goliath" there.

The ex British Nuclear Fuels Ltd Peckett built 0-4-0ST No. 1 is now located at Irlam station in Lancashire on the Manchester to Warrington line where it is on static display there.

Amazingly just under three months the ex Yates & Duxbury Ltd. Peckett built 0-4-0ST No. 1370 "May" is back in service from overhaul again with a fresh 10 year boiler ticket. The locomotive was returned to the Beamish Open Air Museum on the 10th of December 2019.

The former Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Pug 0-4-0ST No. 19 has been temporarily relocated to the East Lancashire Railway at Bury to be in company of No. 51456 (752) there. No. 19 is to be done up temporarily in BR Livery carrying what would have been its British Railway number 51241 as part of a special line up at the East Lancashire Railway’s Spring Steam Gala from the 6th to the 8th of March 2020. No. 19 is also to be assisted for a possible overhaul to return her to steam as well.

It has been announced by the Lambton Locomotive Trust that their ex Lambton, Hetton and Joicey Collieries 1909 Robert Stephenson & Co. built 0-6-2T No. 5 is being dismantled for inspection prior to its long awaited major overhaul.

GWR 0-6-0PT No. 4612 is to visit the Nene Valley Railway for a special weekend marking the 70th anniversary of the very last GWR Pannier Tank locomotive leaving Swindon Works 70 years ago on the 7th and 8th of March 2020. No. 4612 will be one of two Pannier Tanks at this event operating along side the Nene Valley based Class 14 0-6-0 Diesel Locomotives 9520 and 9529.

1774 is one of 6 Southern Pacific moguls still surviving out of a class of 335. When built, she was a fast passenger engine as well as a freight engine.As locomotives became larger, she, and her sisters found work as "light duty" engines, yet were powerful for their size. They were known as "Valley mallets" and most spent their time in the Sacramento & San Joaquin Valleys working locals.

The Lumsden Heritage Trust planned to recover two V class locomotives from the Mararoa Junction Locomotive Dump in the Oreti River. The locomotives were dumped in the river near Mararoa Junction for riverbank protection in 1927 and the two locomotives were unearthed in 2018. On 29 January 2020 V127 was recovered and put on display in Lumsden, but it proved impracticable to remove V126 as it was too firmly embedded in the earth.

Since it arrived at the Patons Country Railway in 2016 ex South African Railways Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn built 19D 4-8-2 No. 2767 has been under restoration by the North British Locomotive Preservation Group to operate there. But the biggest hurdle in its restoration is the need to re-tyre or re-place the driving wheels and funds are being raised for this at present. The aim by the North British Locomotive Preservation Group is to restore the loco to steam in the next few years.

The ex South African Railways North British Locomotive Company built 4-8-2+2-8-4 Garratt No. 4112 was meant to be to Glasgow St Rollox Works for cosmetic restoration but this has now been abandoned as St Rollox works closed last year and the works is being bided for further railway use. But No. 4112 now undergoing its much needed cosmetic restoration at its display site at the Summerlee Heritage Park.

The ex PKP (Polish Railways) 0-8-0T Tkp-5485 has commenced its loaded test runs at the Nene Valley Railway which today has seen the locomotive hauling BR Mark I Coaches for the first time testing its newly fitted vacuum brakes. Further test are will continue as No. 5485 is due to enter service at the Nene Valley Railway’s Mixed Traffic weekend on the 4th and 5th of April 2020.
