Pacific Phosphate Company 0-4-0WT No. NonePosted by: Matthew Gardner on Jul 2, 2021 @ 08:07:59
Does anybody have any idea a to what year this engine was built, and when it was retired from service? I saw on a page describing the Phosphate railroads on Nauru that the line on the wharf was gauge converted in about 1912. I do not know if it means the whole line, or just on the wharf. Also, the line opened in about 1907. If the engine was new then, that could mean that it only had literally 5 years of service on it when retired from service! I think it would really deserve to be restored to run again, even if not on Nauru.
