For the last time -this loco is not at Riga Sugar Factory anymore - it is at Rewari Steam Centre.

Thankfully, my call on this one was eventually answered. In February 2021 this locomotive was transferred from Riga to the Rewari Steam Shed for restoration and display. A protracted but very welcome campaigning victory!

This Loco was originally named “Lillian” and started life at Assam Oil Company in Digboi, India. She’s a metre gauge loco with 13” x 16” cylinders, 22 3/4 Tons in working order. Wheelbase of 9’-0” requiring 300’ min. Radius curves. Sale date to Riga Sugar (her current owner) unknown.

This is the last surviving British built eight coupled saddle tank out of a total of only 117 built. Is anyone going to svae this unique and historic loco?
