DB (DRG) 4-6-2. 3Cyl No. 03.1090 (03.0090-5)Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Jan 28, 2022 @ 12:01:51
This is per my first note of 26 January, 2022 and is Krauss-Maffei No. 15842/1940. It also has EPD number of 03 0090-5. How the number 3.109, other than being a type error, is a mystery to me also. M.E.&T is the former Bw Schwerin.

DB (DRG) 4-6-2. 3Cyl No. 03.1090 (03.0090-5)Posted by: Brian Garvin on Jan 28, 2022 @ 12:01:46
Loco went into z status in 1979 and withdrawn in 1985. Many organisations in Western Europe wanted to buy it. Stralsund shed staff hid the loco at a sub shed. It was officially preserved later. Still owned by DB it is now displayed at the Mecklenburgische Eisenbahn & Tecknik Museum in Schwerin and has never worked since withdrawal. It is displayed as 03 1090 which is a magic number - Einheitstag - German Reunification date.

JZ (SHS) 2-6-0 No. 20.149 (6149)Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Jan 28, 2022 @ 12:01:32
This was originally delivered to the then Železnice Srbije C.X.C., effectively Serbian State Railways (SHS) as their No. 6149 during troubled times in the country following WWl. It later became Yugoslav Railways, Class 20, JŽ No. 20-149, now believed to be kept at Zrenjanin Goods Depot.

Baden Staatsbahn 4-2-0 No. 13 'Phoenix' (504)Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Jan 28, 2022 @ 09:01:43
This locomotive was built for the Baden State Railway, to run for them NOT by them! Built by Maschinenbau-Gesellschaft Karlsruhe, number and date as quoted. It was initially No. 13 ‘PHOENIX’, subsequently No. 504. Status is Display. It still bears it’s name only.

Sablière Pastre St Gemme 0-4-0T No. Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Jan 28, 2022 @ 08:01:22
This is NOT a product of the quoted, who in fact was a intermediary based in Paris. It is the first (to be preserved) locomotive built by the KWStE at Heilbronn in Baden-Würtemburg, the build number and date being correct. The builder should be changed please, to Heilbronn.

DR (DRG) (SZD) 2-10-0 No. 52.8116 (52.3354) (TE-3354)Posted by: Brian Garvin on Jan 28, 2022 @ 08:01:12
This is another out of date entry. I have no record of it at Gelsenkirchen. But is was at Gieringhausen 1993 - 2009 then it was a Osnabruck 2009 - 2013. It was then sold to Theo Kerkmann who has displayed outside his furniture factory (Buromobelfabrik,) in Brake. It is located just north of Brake station east of the line. Brake itself is just north of Bielefeld.

DR (DRG) 2-10-0 No. 52.8015 (52.3464)Posted by: Brian Garvin on Jan 28, 2022 @ 08:01:09
Some of your information seems way out of date. This loco was moved to Lehrte in 2002. It is located not at the old depot site but is displayed in a green patch in Bahnhofstrasse south of the station. In fact it is virtually opposite the end of the platforms. But the sound barriers mean it cannot be seen from the railway.

Ruwenhorst & Humbert (Heeresfeldbahn) 0-8-0T No. 31 (HF 968)Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Jan 28, 2022 @ 07:01:46
The locomotive was built for the German Army during WWI as fleet No. 968 in Berlin, and was purchased by railway contractor, Ruwenhorst & Humbert in France the following decade as their No. 35. It was retired in 1968 and purchased privately, twice, sometime bearing the number 2, before moving to Wales in 2001. It was built by Maffei, NOT K-M.

TCDD 0-4-0T No. 2251Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Jan 28, 2022 @ 03:01:05
Elsewhere it is recorded as Krauss (It would have been München in 1874 as Linz did not open until 1880 or after) 380.

Builder would have been either G Krauss or J Maffei, NOT Klauss-Maffei, in either Augsburg (for the former) or München for both companies, probably the latter.

This loco still exists along with 25 other. This loco was DB 50 2838 becoming 052 838 in 1968. Yes it is KM 16355. It was a Crailsheim loco.

NER 4-6-2 No. 2299Posted by: Brian Garvin on Jan 27, 2022 @ 02:01:47
I have no record of this loco surviving. A new book published in India covering all the preserved locomotives is en route fro India so it will be interesting to see if it appears there.

Tegernseebahn 2-8-2T No. TAG 7Posted by: Brian Garvin on Jan 27, 2022 @ 02:01:04
This loco has been active but is at the BLV depot in Landshut. I understand it needs a new boiler.

NER 4-6-2 No. 2299Posted by: Doug Bailey on Jan 26, 2022 @ 19:01:40
According to Geoff Cowards list of steam locomotives in India this locomotive is indeed located in Saharsa, India, but he claims in was built by Vulcan Foundry, Newton-le-Willows, England. He does not, however, provide a construction date or C/N. I am going to leave it as Krauss-Maffei as other sources agree with Dale W. Fickes information.

Tegernseebahn 2-8-2T No. TAG 7Posted by: Douglas Bailey on Jan 26, 2022 @ 18:01:19
It appears to be still extant, as it is listed on the active roster of Bayerischer Localbahn Verein as operational. Added the photo now shown.
