Originally delivered to DRG as Kriegslok No. 52 3464, the number it retained during SBZ years 1945-1949 and with the following DR. It was rebuilt as a Rekolok (probably at RAW Stendal) 1958-1962, emerging as No. 52 8015, and survived until 1991, being withdrawn at Bw Elsterwerda. It was then saved by EBG Borchen, outside Paderborn; was in store in Oscherslben during 1993 and at Altenbeken in 1998 before being displayed at Lehrte in 2002, originally at a previous location here!

Some of your information seems way out of date. This loco was moved to Lehrte in 2002. It is located not at the old depot site but is displayed in a green patch in Bahnhofstrasse south of the station. In fact it is virtually opposite the end of the platforms. But the sound barriers mean it cannot be seen from the railway.

Several details may now be amended. Builder was Krauss-Maffei, and the Status is now Display (plinthed) at Lehtre, Saxon-Anholt, near the former depot (Bw) and yard.
