Originally delivered to the DRG as Kreislok No. 50 2404, through to becoming that identity for DB towards the end of 1949, with computerisation becoming No. 052 404-1 until it was withdrawn from service at the end of 1976 at Bw Wedau. It was immediately reserved for preservation by the NRM, Nürnberg and first displayed during 1977 at Paderborn, minus computer check-digit. In 1998 it was moved by a BSW group to Oberhausen and, in 2004, to the former DB depot (Bw) at Gelsenkirchen-Bismarck.
