Originally delivered to DRG as Kriegslok No. 52 3354, it ran in this guise until sequestrated by the USSR in 1945 thus becoming TE-3354, presumably being re-gauged to 1524mm, but was re-patriated to the DDR in 1962 thus joining DR as it’s original number, again ? changing gauge, being re-boilered as Rekolok (probably in Stendal) and numbered as 52 8116, eventually retiring in early 1993, to be quickly preserved by the EFO, Oberberg, based in Dieringhausen, a few months later to be OD eV, Osnabrück No. 52 8116-7 until 2013, as Brian says, it was purchased privately by a Theo Kirkmann (with the name Kirkmann advertising and emboldening it’s tender) in the grounds of his Büromobelfabrik at Kirkmannstraße 1, 33729 Brake bei Bielefeld, just off to the west of the B61, 5 miles (just under 8km) north of the city centre.

This is another out of date entry. I have no record of it at Gelsenkirchen. But is was at Gieringhausen 1993 - 2009 then it was a Osnabruck 2009 - 2013. It was then sold to Theo Kerkmann who has displayed outside his furniture factory (Buromobelfabrik,) in Brake. It is located just north of Brake station east of the line. Brake itself is just north of Bielefeld.

Firstly, this locomotive is now preserved at Eisenbahn Museum, Dieringhausen, same State in Germany as currently displayed. Builder was Krauss-Maffei.
