The former Stewarts & Lloyds, Corby Hawthorn Leslie built 0-6-0ST (Works No. 3837) No. 16, has now left Peak Rail and has relocated to its new home at the Northampton & Lamport Railway at Northampton, in Northamptonshire for restoration.

Please change status to Overhaul. 8630 went into the No.2 Service Shed last week where her boiler was lifted off the frames. The boiler is headed to Sappa Boiler in Osaka, while the chassis will be inspected and reassembled in Kyoto.

I saw a post on Facebook from "Narrow gauge enthusiasts group" that said this locomotive is now stored at the Pairi Daiza railway in belgium

A Russian website, "parovoz dot com" reports that this locomotive was moved to Bukhara, Uzbekistan and was subsequently scrapped.

Ogden City and the Colorado Railroad Museum have entered into an agreement today for the Colorado Railroad Museum to rebuild Denver and Rio Grande C-16-class narrow-gauge Consolidation #223, one of only three of its class to survive and the only surviving Grant-built narrow-gauge engine, to operation. Plans call for it to visit several Colorado narrow-gauge tourist lines and then for it to become a permanent operating engine at the Colorado Railroad Museum ten years after it returns to operational status.

C11-190, currently dressed up as Thomas the Tank Engine, has been experiencing minor boiler issues as of late that has seen her out of traffic since earlier this month. The timeline for her return, originally sett for end of October, has recently been pushed back to end of November.

It has been discovered that the unique Wigan Coal & Iron Co. 1887 built 0-6-0ST "Lindsay", has been relocated to Locomotive Maintenance Services at Loughborough in Leicestershire, where its overhaul has advanced really well there.

The ex LMS Black Five 4-6-0 No. 44932, is back visiting the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway for the late Autumn and Winter month and will be hauling their Elf Explorer Trains this Christmas season as well as working their Mince Pie Specials into the New Year.

The worlds most famous locomotive ex LNER A3 Class Pacific No. 60103 (No. 4472) "Flying Scotsman", will be returning to the mainline this Christmas to work a Christmas mainline charter special along the famous Eastcoast mainline from York to Newcastle and back for UK Railtours on the 14th of December 2025. The locomotive will be operated be DB Cargo and hauling coaching stock from Eastern Rail Services based at Great Yarnmouth in Norfolk.

Construction of new-build (LNER Design) P2 Class 2-8-2 No. 2007 "Prince of Wales", is making good progress at Darlington Locomotive Works as the tender frames have been placed on their wheels with their Timken roller bearing now fitted and the tender tank has been successfully trial fitted as well. Work on the tender will now focus on the fitting of the new ETCS (European Train Control System) for future mainline running. Meanwhile the Monobloc cylinder will be placed onto the frames of the locomotive very soon before Christmas with support from Riley & Sons Engineering and the boiler for No. 2007 has now been completed at Dampflokwerk Meiningen works in Germany and has been successfully hydraulic tested and now has the CE mark on it and will arrive in the UK at the end of October 2025 and then the boiler will be steam tested for the first time in the New Year.

The Ffestiniog Railway’s 1879 built Double-Fairlie 0-4-0+0-4-0T No. 10 "Merddin Emrys", has been withdrawn from service for its 10-year overhaul which work is now underway in their workshops at Boston Lodge.

The ex GWR 5600 Class 0-6-2T No. 6695, has now relocated to the Avon Valley Railway at Bitton in Gloucestershire, where it will now be based on long-term loan. While it never ran through Bitton on the Avon Valley line itself during BR days, it is belived that three GWR 5600 0-6-2T locomotives did during the 1950s on their way to Bath for trials on the Somerset and Dorset route.

As of October 2025, 48305 is stopped with firebox problems and a decision on its repair is expected soon.

As of December 2024, she is down for her 1472 fra rebuild and is no longer operational. Restoration work is on going, but no time line is set.
