The loco is stored derelict with no rods, cylinders or crankpins, as it was used as a stationary boiler at Nossen and Dresden. It is parked along with some equally stored diesels.

Having completed running in trials and loaded test runs, the ex GKN, Eastmoors Steelworks, Hunslet built 48150 Class 0-6-0ST No. 18 "Jessie", is set to return to traffic hauling trains again at the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway over the Easter weekend and onwords.

The ex Staveley Ironworks Avonside build 0-6-0ST Works No. 1919 "Cranford", is visiting the Avon Valley Railway, to help celebrate their 50th Anniversary from the 4th to 7th of April 2024. It is planned for "Cranford" to operate forming a train of a MK1 coach and a brake van - recreating some of the first trains from Bitton station in preservation 50 years ago during the 50th Anniversary Weekend Celebrations.

After exiting service in 2010, JS8030 was transferred to Xuchang Xiangcheng Park for static display, but lack of maintenance, and now JS8030 looks tattered and rusty.

Visited the museum on 3-23-24 talked with a volunteer and actually walked in and saw the locomotive in the shops it is no longer undergoing operational restoration it will now only be a cosmetic

With her overhaul now completed and back operational again, the famous ex Southern Railway rebuilt Bulleid Merchant Navy Class Pacific No. 35028 "Clan Line", has now returned home to the Merchant Navy Locomotive Preservation Society’s base at Stewarts Lane Depot, in Greater London. Where No. 35028 will start running trials followed by mainline test runs before returning to the mainline hauling the British Pullman Train and mainline railtours again along with possible visits to preserved railways around the UK at times.

2023 Retubed the boiler, repaired the saddle tank, got the insurance and state inspections passed and it will be ready to run this spring (2024).

With the Kent & East Sussex Railway celebrating its 50th Anniversary, a special 50th Anniversary Gala weekend is to be held on two section of it during the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of June 2024. BR Standard 7MT Pacific No. 70000 "Britannia", will be visiting the Rother Valley Railway section of the Kent & East Sussex Railway from the mainline connection at Robertsbridge, where she will be hauling a series of shuttle workings along that section during the Gala.

As part of their 50th Anniversary, the Kent & East Sussex Railway has launched an appeal to help complete the overhaul on sole surviving ex GWR 1600 Class 0-6-0PT No. 1638, and get it back into steam again. Built in 1951, No. 1638 is both a ‘modern’ locomotive and a survivor of the age of steam rail travel. It is also the only one of its Class to have survived in preservation and has a special connection to the Kent & East Sussex Railway as No. 1638 is the only steam locomotive to be wholly owned by the railway. It was bought by the KESR in 1992 and the railway would love to see it fully restored to its former glory. The railway is looking at raising £163,800, to help complete the overhaul, which details of the appeal can be found on their website and social media pages.

The unique sole surviving single chimney BR Standard 9F 2-10-0 No. 92134, has been booked to visit the East Lancashire Railway, later this year for their Autumn Steam Gala being held from the 11th to 13th of October 2024.

This locomotive came from the North East No. 4 Area of the NCB who numbered it their 140, and generally worked at Horden or Thrislington collieries.

May be the War Department can be shortened to WD and NCB Wheldale Colliery added to the name title, both with relevant fleet numbers (75118) and S134 added respectively, the latter being post 1946.

I have now been informed that the loco moved to MaLoWa Bahnwerkstatt, Benndorf in June 2023 pesumably for re-gauging and restoration.

After making its debut at the Severn Valley Railway and Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, new-build GWR Grange Class 4-6-0 No. 6880 "Betton Grange", will head into East Anglia for the very first time to spend the summer season at the North Norfolk Railway, where it will be hauling trains there during August, September and October 2024.

i saw this loco on the back of a lowboy in Ypsilanti Michigan. it was missing the smoke box door and the cab was red, like the pictures
