It would appear that Cellulose Fabrik, Attisholzstrasse 10, 4533-CH was the original owner, the business having existed since 1881 on the north bank of the River Aare in Riedholz, Solothurn, Switzerland.

This was previously South Hessen Gas & Water AG, Darmstadt with no recorded identity that became BASF, Ludwigshafen No. 5 that worked until 1988. In late 2007 it was stored by the SRS for restoration in Kaiserslautern.

This was actually purchased by Kommunales Elektrizitätswerk Mark (KEM), Hagen for their Werk Hagen-Hardecke, later moving to Werk Elverlingsen before retirement in 1974. It went to the Hespertalbahn as No. 5 in 1978 and was still here in 2006.

45231 will be making her first visit to the Severn Valley Railway for their Autumn Steam gala in September. She will become the first Black Five to run on the SVR since resident 45110 last ran in 2008.

Actually built to 760mm gauge for Stahlwerk Rudnick i Zeljevara Vares (RZV), Vares, Bosnia (then part of Yugoslavia) and still here in 2007.

Delivered to the DB in the then West Germany as No. 23 029 until, in 1968, it was computerised as No. 023 029-2, working from Bw Crailsheim until being withdrawn in late 1975. It was first preserved by Baron Koenig-Fachsenfeld then, in 1980, went on display outside a training school in Aalen where it is believed to remain.

Previously Hüttenwerk Rurhort, Meiderich as No. D 6, It concluded work for Phœnix in June 1962 whereupon it was placed in a playground on Lutherstraße, Duisburg-Alt Homberg until 1973. It arrived at the Field & Railway Work Museum in late 1990.

This is now located at the Setila AG premises, 9435 Heerbrugg, St Gallen, Switzerland (which may be the same as its former Heerbrugg location outside Widnau) and where it was in 2004.

The locomotive was actually built to 1676mm to be (slightly) more accurate! Still extant in 1991.

Delivered in 610mm gauge through the Shaperia Docks Steel, Bombay to the Nizam Sugar Factory Ltd., Sharkarngar, Nizamabad, Telegana, India, as their No. 4 and where it was in 1992, though the mill is now closed.

Delivered to the DB in the then West Germany towards the end of 1952 as No. 23 023 based in Trier, it was computerised as No. 23 023-5 from the start of 1968 and survivided in service until the end of 1975 and withdrawn from Bw Lehrte and later purchased privately by W E Hendrikse, Delft for the SSN of Rotterdam, where it remains.

Extant as listed in 2005. However, Andorra despite its size, is a separate country (as in Monaco or San Marino) and not part of either France nor Spain!

It is hoped that one of the three members of this class, i. e from Nos. 40-42 will be restored and returned to service even though the line into Volos has been relaid to Standard gauge.

One of the last of this class to be delivered to the DRB during the closing months of WW2 as No. 52 3320 and almost immediately was put to work in the same identity by the Soviets on the Austrian ÖStB that identity. It then became No. TE-3320 during SBZ Military Administration and later in 1945, went to the PKP, initially in the same identity but from 1946 as No. Ty2-993, serving with them until 1991 when it first went into preservation in Chabowka. It later went via Paris to the CdF in Arques, Pas-de-Calais, France.

Delivered to the DRB during the closing months of WW2 as No. 52 3314 and almost immediately was put to work in the same identity by the Soviets on the Austrian ÖStB that in 1947 becambe the ÖBB. serving with them until 1978 when it went to the GKB in Graz. The locomotive then went to Brenner & Brenner and, in 1988 via HEP in Paderborn and, in 1992 went to the CFV 3V, based in Treignes, 5670 Viroinval, Belgium.

The information here seems somewhat skewed! Firstly, No. 52 2676 was Henschel & Sohn build number 27854/1944, wthdrawn from Dresden in 1976. Jung 11322 was delivered to the DRB during the closing months of WW2 as No. 52 3311 and almost immediately was put to work by the Sovies on the CSD Ceskoslovenské Státni Dráhy [CSSR) bedore joining the SBZ Military Administration in the same identity, then in 1952, being adopted by the Soviets as No. TE-3311 and returned to the DR in the then East Germany during 1962 in its former itentity. It more or less went traight to Raw Stendal and was re-constructed with a new boiler, then emerging as No. 52 8068 (please note), which beccae No. 52 8068-0 in 1970. It sserved as a stationary boiler at Bw Wustermark from 1988 until wthdrawal in late 1991 and then went, evenntually, to the SRM at Hilbersdorf via Aalen, and Olbernhau.

Delivered to the DRB during the closing months of WW2 as No. 52 3310 it then joined the SBZ Military Administration in the same identity before being adopted by the Soviets as No. TE-3310 in 1952 then passed to the MÁV as No. 520.010. It apparently retired in 1985 in Hungary.

This originally joined the then DRB during the closing years of WW2 as No. 52 3296 that, after acceptance in Frankfurt am Main was stored or worked from Schwerin before going into Military Administration in 1947, then adopted by the Soviets for the SZD as TE-3296 in 1952. It was renumbered as 1042.607-0 in the Soviet fleet during 1984 and in 1992 was found to be working, presumably re-gauged to 1524mm, during 1992, and thought to have been adopted by a White Russiam Railway Enthusiasts Club,, and by 1996 was stored in Brest.

This originally joined the then DRB during the closing years of WW2 as No. 52 3269 that, after acceptance in Frankfurt am Main was stored or worked from Erfurt before going into Military Administration in 1947, then adopted by the Soviets for the SZD as TE-3269 in 1952. It was renumbered as 1042.235-0 in the Soviet fleet during 1984 and in 1992 was found to be working, presumably re-gauged to 1524mm, during 1992. Later it was in a Reserve outside Brest and was last known to be at the railway museum in the city during 2002.
