I attended the 2024 Ederville train and tractor show and spoke to the engineer of this engine. Boiler pressure should be 180psi and driver diameter is 18inches.

SHS 342,059 ex MÁV in 1919. As with all locomotives in Yugoslavia kept number until 1933 when it became 17.086 After German invasion of Yugoslavia in 1941 taken by Reichsbahn and renumbered 75 1424 From 1945-1947 operated by Russian Forces Austria. Returned to Yugoslavia 28.04.1947

The unique British Railways Standard 8P Class Pacific No. 71000 "Duke of Gloucester", is now in the last stages of its overhaul at Tyseley Locomotive Works and is due to be moved to the Severn Valley Railway in late November or early December 2024 to begin testing and running in trials over the winter before moving to its new home at LNWR Heritage at Crewe, where it will be operated on the mainline with Locomotive Services Ltd as well as visits to other preserved railways around the UK from 2025.

Following the completion of overhaul of ex CEGB Newport Peckett built 0-4-0ST Works No. 2147 "Uskmouth No. 1", the former Devonport Dockyard Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST (Works No. 2221) No. 2, is the next small steam locomotive at the Dean Forest Railway to undergo a much needed overhaul having been in storage for 30 years. The locomotive was moved into the main workshops at Norchard on the 23rd of September 2024.

The sole surviving ex Caledonian Railway 439 Class 0-4-4T No. 55189 (419), is visiting the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway for the first time for a special photo charter over the weekend of the 9th and 10th of November 2024, to recreate a near classic Scottish Highland branch line scene from the 1950s and early 1960s.

With the overhaul and rebuild of ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7802 "Bradley Manor", now in its final stages and is soon to return home to the Severn Valley Railway this winter, where will become the Erlestoke Manor Fund’s resident locomotive on the Severn Valley Railway upon its return to service in early 2025.

Having been on hire to the West Somerset Railway for the 2024 season, ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7812 "Erlestoke Manor", has returned home to the Severn Valley Railway for the winter. Where she will be working their Santa Specials over the Christmas season. No. 7812 will remain at the Severn Valley Railway until the Spring of 2025 when she will return on hire to the West Somerset Railway from May 2025 until the end of 2027.

The ex Royal Ordnance Factory Peckett Yorktown Class built 0-4-0ST Works No. 2012 "Teddy", is now in the final stages of its overhaul as following a change of premises, work has been focussed on the boiler with Matt at Heritage Engineers Ltd carrying out the work. The boiler inspector is due soon to carry out a ‘mid-work’ inspection. When this has been completed, Teddy’s front tube plate can be riveted back on. The clack pad has also been riveted on, this was previously fixed in place by castellated nuts. Early plans indicate that an out-of-frame steam test can take place before the end of the year and this can be dispatched to Shackerstone (The Battlefield Line) in 2025. This all should mean that "Teddy" is back in steam early in 2025.

The Wilbrighton Wagon Works 2015 built 0-4-0VB No. 3 "Fernilee", has been withdrawn from service following the end of its 10 boiler ticket for overhaul which will get underway in the workshops at Bressingham Steam Museum this winter.

The ex LMS Black Five 4-6-0 No. 45212, is visiting the Wensleydale Railway for the first time to operate their Polar Express Trains over the Christmas Season during December 2024, and will also be used on their Mince Pie Specials up to the New Year then too.

The ex GWR 5600 Class 0-6-2T No. 5637, is leaving the Swindon & Cricklade Railway as its relocating to Tyseley Locomotive Works at Tyseley near Birmingham in Worcestshire, where its overhaul will take place at.

The ex GWR Large Prairie 2-6-2T No. 5199, has now left the Battlefield Line and has now relocated to the Flour Mill works at Bream in Gloucestershire where its overhaul will take place at.

The ex GWR 1366 Class 0-6-0PT No. 1369, is to visit the Battlefield Line for the first time for their Winter Warmer Gala weekend being held in the New Year on the 11th and 12th January 2025.

The ex CEGB Newport Peckett built 0-4-0ST Works No. 2147 "Uskmouth No1", made a successful light engine test run at the Dean Forest Railway, which this was the first time in many years the locomotive had ran under its own steam, and is now set to make its debut in traffic during the Royal Forest of Steam Gala weekend on the 2nd and 3rd of November 2024.

The Bluebell Railway have evaluated the sale of No 80100, and have decided to retain the locomotive. The reasons are that it is owned by the railway itself (80064 has left the line and 80151 is society owned) and that the 4MT tanks are a very useful class for the Bluebell. The locomotive is still in store in scrapyard condition at Horsted Keynes and there are currently no plans for overhaul, at least until BR standard 2MT Tank No 84030 is completed.

Built as Südbahn 1665, class 32c. The Südbahn was split between Austria and Hungary 31.03.1924 with the Hungarian part becoming Duna-Száva-Adria Railway. 1665 went to D-S-A retaining its number. D-S-A was merged into MÁV 28.10.1932 and 1665 became 333,002 Retired 09.10.1969 and preserved in Austria as stated

Seems to now be owned by Mid-Mountain Excavating Ltd 2515 Longhill Drive in Kelowna. Satellite imagery appears to show the locomotive in pieces in their storage lot.

Built as MÁV 327,016 to Yugoslavia with same number in 1919 then 02-016 from 1933 returned to MÁV in October 1941. Renumbered 327,141 March 20 1948 and kept this number until retired in 1969

611 of 1894 is correct. Sold by MÁV to Diosgyor Steelworks as 326-02 12.05.1961 used until 16.07.1978 when it was preseved

The ex United States Army Transportation Corps. S160 2-8-0 No. 2364, is said to be relocated at Reid Freight Services at Cockshute Sidings in Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire, where it is in storage along with sister S160 locomotives No. 2138 and No. 1631 there.

It has been said that ex United States Army Transportation Corps. S160 Class 2-8-0 No. 2138, has been relocated to Reid Freight Services at Cockshute Sidings in Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire, where it is in storage with sister S160 2-8-0 locomotives No. 1631.
