Former Stewarts & Lloyds, Corby Hawthorn Leslie built 0-6-0ST No. 3837 or No. 16 has moved to the Epping Ongar Railway in Essex. The locomotive s restoration will continue to see it back in running order at its new home.

Ex Corris Railway 0-4-2ST No. "Sir Haydn" has return home to the Talyllyn Railway following completion of its overhaul at the Vale of Rheidol Railways Aberystwyth works. No. 3 has been painted back in the Talyllyn Railways famous Green livery and will soon to doing test runs before it enters traffic for the summer season.

This locomotive has just been moved back to the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City and V&T 27 has been swapped for it

The Mid Hants Railway has launched a appeal to raise funds to have 73096 overhauled and put back in to steam again. They have set up a BT MyDonate page which details can be found on the Mid Hants Railways website.

Former Kilmersdon Colliery Peckett built 0-4-0ST "Kilmersdon" is going on loan to the Helston Railway in Cornwall for the 2018 season. The locomotive will be staying there till early 2019.

actually, the ex N.P. # 3100 was the first 2-6-6-2 owned by Rayonier.. it was aquired when Rayonier bought out the Polson Bros operations in 1949.. This engine was much larger than the #38.. but she was scrapped in Rayoniers Railroad Camp in 1959..

310.0118 ex KKStB 97.227, BUILT BY BMMF 108/1903, has moved to CHOMUTOV in the Museum store, noted there in May 2017. BMMF = Erste Bohmisch Mahrisghe Maschinenfabrik, Praha-Liben, Czechoslovakia. Later became part of CKD.

Loco has moved to JAROCIN, belongs to a preservation group in the former PKP depot, under repair in August 2015.

The visit to the North Yorkshire Moors Railways Autumn Gala is to mark the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force. There will be other centenaries to mark at the same event: NER Q6 63395, GWR 2-8-0 2857 and Tallylyn Railway No6, 'Douglas'. 'Douglas', besides being 100 is also associated with the RAF having originally been supplied for airfield construction. It will be used as a load on a wagon during the event.

The New build British Railways Standard 3MT Tank No. 82045 has reached a big milestone in its construction today as the locomotive was put on to its wheels for the first time and is now a rolling chassis.

No. 34081 "92 Squadron" will be on its travels later this year when it will visit the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for there Autumn Steam Gala on the weekend of the 28th to the 30th of September 2018. This will be the second visit of 34081 to the Moors line as it first visited in 2002.

With 70013 confined to the heritage line for the remainder of its boiler ticket. "Oliver Cromwell" has been added to the line up of visiting locomotives at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway for there Cotswold Festival of Steam event on the weekend of the 26th to the 28th of May 2018. Subject to contract?

On 14th April 2018 the loco was scheduled to haul the 'Ebor Flyer' train from Kings Cross to York. On the East Coast Main Line the train was timed to run at 90mph, which it achieved, but suffered a serious mechanical failure to the valve gear on the inside cylinder south of Peterborough. The train was rescued by a class 66 diesel and towed to Peterborough where 60163 was detached and moved to the nearby Nene Valley Railway. Final movement once there was by class 14 diesel hydraulic loco.

The tour continued, somewhat late, with more Class 66 haulage. 60163 is currently being assesed for repair at the Nene Valley Railway.

By 24 August 2015 the locomotive was to be found outside the rather derelict depot, next to the turntable at Koszalin Wask depot. It is worth noting that the locomotive was formerly (until 1958) 1000m gauge with running No. Px48-1763.

"Gelert" has arrived back home at the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway following completion of its overhaul. The locomotive should enter traffic in time for the summer season and remainder of the year.

Former Associated Portland Cement Manufacturers Hudswell Clark built 0-6-0T No. 1704 "Nunlow" has been withdrawn from service for its 10 year overhaul having worked its last trains at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway yesterday.

No. 6 "Douglas" aka "Duncan" is to do a visit away from the Talyllyn Railway for the very first time later this year as it has been invited to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for there Autumn Steam Gala from Friday 28th September to Sunday 30th September 2018. No. 6 Douglas, which is currently painted in RAF blue to mark RAF 100, will travel on a flat wagon during the gala as part of demonstration goods trains.
