This Fourth of July weekend, Virginia & Truckee No. 27 will be attending the Great Western Steam Up event at the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City.

This locomotive has just been moved to the Comstock History Center in Virginia City and the Dayton Locomotive has been swapped for it

Restoration of #27 to a static display condition was completed a number of years ago. Funds were not available to replace or repair the boiler which now lacks its tubes.
