Construction number for this locomotive is B-P 3021. Ex M.D. No. 17 Named Fox; became CP No. 02017 in 1931 the No. 013 from 1952.

Assuming that this locomotive is extant, it is - or was - a 2-8-4T location in a difficult to access shed south of the station. Construction No. 19813 of 1923. The

Former Dinorwic Slate Quarry Hunslet 0-4-0ST "Alice" will be one of many Hunslet built narrow gauge locomotives taking part in the Hunslet 125 celebrations at the Ffestiniog Railway on the weekend of the 22nd to 24th of June 2018. "Alice" will be joined by sisters Quarry Hunslet s "Holy War", "Maid Marian", "George B" and "Winifred" from the Bala Lake Railway as well for this event.

Stepthson s original "Rocket" will be relocating to the Manchester Museum of Science & Industry from September 2018 to April 2019. This will be the first time in 180 years that the original "Rocket" will be back in Manchester where it made railway history at the Rainhill trails and the opening of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway.

As part of the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Royal Air Force. No. 6 "Douglas" is leaving the Talyllyn Railway to start it travels around the UK as it heading to RAF Cosford for there airshow there will be on display there on Sunday the 10th of June 2018.

No. 4566 is being moved in to the Engine House Museum at Highley to go on display till such time it can be overhauled again.

LMS 8F 2-8-0 No. 48773 is to come out of the Engine House Museum at Highley and join LMS Black 5 No. 45110 on display at Kidderminster station during the Severn Valley Railway s Last Days of Steam event to be held on the 4th of August 2018. No. 48773 was among the last 8Fs in service in the final months of steam in 1968 and was sheded at Lostock Hall Shed in the final months of steam. It was a prime candidate for preservation then as it had a overhaul 2 years before which 48773 was saved by the Stanier 8F Locomotive Society and moved to the Severn Valley Railway where it has been ever since.

Sorry Luis, but the construction number of 855 is actually 73480! ALCO fabrication numbers 73476-83 were allotted to CP Nos. 851-856, with No. 852 entering service on 21 July 1944.

This locomotive now sits within the roundhouse at FMNF Entroncamento. Unfortunately, no doubt for the best of reasons, it is another example of it bearing an incorrect construction plate, i.e. Fives - Lille No. 3054. This actually belonged to sister locomotive No. CP 63 (263). The correct construction No. is Fives - Lille No. 3053 of 1899.

Now located in the roundhouse at FMNF Entroncamento, this locomotive was delivered to the M.D. as No. 104; became CP No. 2704 in 1931 and subsequently No. 754 from 1952. The construction number is, however BMAG - Schwartzkopff (Berlin) No. 5239 of 1914; certainly NOT No. 5288 for which it bears a plate in the museum! It is, of course, 1668mm.

Whilst, at the FMNF Entroncamento, this locomotive bears the Henschel & Sohn, Cassel plate 19887 of 1924, it was delivered to SSE as No. 303, i.e. Henschel & Sohn, Cassel 19882 of 1924. It became CP No. 1503 in 1931; then No. 553 from 1952 onwards.

For a few weeks now, 7 has become operational. After undergoing restoration at the WW&F, she was fired up Easter weekend and made her debut at the MNG during their steam fest.

The construction number of this locomotive is 19899 of 1925. Beware of the false number painted in white on this loco. According to official CP records this locomotive is actually No. 072 (as most other observers record). It is a 2-6-4T with SLM construction number 2365 of 1916. Ex Penrhyn Slate Quarries Avonside built 0-4-0T "Marchlyn" is the 3rd visiting loco at the Bala Lake Railway in North Wales for there Steam Gala as well on the weekend of 16th, 17th and 18th June 2018. It to will be staying for the visiting locos event from 19th to 21st and 23rd, 24th June but will only make occasional guest appearance on service trains for that event.

Overhaul work on the most famous steam locomotive in South Africa No. 3450 ‘The Red Devil’ is in its final stages as the locomotive is to make its first mainline run for the first time since the winter of 2004 with Ceres Rail on the weekend of July 13th to 15th 2018. On a special 3 day trip from Cape Town to Robertson and back with some photo run bys as well.

Soon to be back in steam with a date set in 2019. Union Pacific Railroad famous Big Boy 4-8-8-4 No. 4014 is to make its first runs in preservation in 2019 as part of the 150 anniversary celebrations of the first transcontinental Railroad in the United States of America. No. 4014 will be the largest operational steam locomotive of its kind in the world when in steam. No. 4014 along with Union Pacific 4-8-4 No. 844 are to work a number of steam mainline runs around Cheyenne to Ogden as part of the celebrations from May 2019.
