Originally delivered to the Sul e Sueste Railway, (SeS) Portugal as No. 101, in 1931 becoming No. 1701 through to 1947, when absorbed by the CfP who, in 1952, re-numbered it to 701. It has been rusting away with several others in the yard, adjacent to Vila Nova de Gaia Station, now used by the Permanent Way Department, for several decades. Status is either a ‘Wreck’ or possibly ‘stored for preservation’

The six derelict locomotives stored in what is now a PW yard have recently been moved west to the last siding away from the main line and now stand in north to south order as Nos. 072; 282; 294; 701; 0190; 0184.
