Currently on display in the Engine House, Severn Valley at Highley on the Severn Valley Railway, ex GWR ‘Small Prairie’ 2-6-2T No. No. 4566 maybe returning to steam again soon as a new group the 4566 Preservation Group has been formed to care and operate as well as safeguard the locomotive. But the Severn Valley Railway can no longer commit overhauls on locomotives that belong to private individuals, as they are not protected for use at the railway. So the group set up of supporters from the Friends of Hagley Hall are hoping to start raising funds to help overhaul No. 4566 back into steam again, which it is estimated to cost £500,000 needed. Details of the group and how to support them can be found on their website and social media pages.

From what has been said on the Severn Valley Railways website there are no plans to overhaul 4566 any sooner so it looks as if the locomotive is to be put on display at there Engine House Museum at Highley till such time it can be overhauled.
